Zodiac Signs // Gon & Killua - Raptinsound

Togashi literally did his research, guys. I mean…… literally.

I was curious about Gon and Killua’s zodiac signs and if they would match up accurately to their persons. I am so pleased to say that they do….

Gon Freecss; Taurus (DOB: May 5th)

First of all, a Taurean’s element is Earth…. which Gon is constantly compared to in different mediums throughout the fandom.  Not only that, but his birthstone is Emerald. Clever, Togashi….

Taurean’s give off a determined energy and are driven by strength, stamina, and will. Stubborn by nature, the Taurus will stand his ground to the bitter end (sometimes even irrationally so). Despite this, the Taurus is affectionate, sympathetic and appreciative. They are very understanding and approachable, meaning that their friends and family can unburden themselves unto Taurus; sharing their deepest fears. Taurean’s are slow to anger, but once disturbed it can be volatile. They are very patient otherwise; practical and efficient. Also known to be very deliberate with their actions. Although initially they may have their own best interest at heart, they are ultimately & endlessly generous with their time, possessions and love.

If this doesn’t describe Gon to a T, then I don’t know what does.

 Killua Zoldyck ; Cancer (DOB: July 7th)

The Cancer sign is a water element, ruled by the moon. Killua is constantly paralleled to that of the lunar variety, which made reading about Cancer even more enjoyable when comparing it to Killua’s nature.  Cancerians give off a vibration of moodiness and they secretly desire to feel safe in all regards (emotionally, spiritually, and romantically).

They are considered one of the zodiac’s enigmas; possessing mysterious traits. Despite their contradictive mood swings, Cancerians are naturally conservative and are apt to hiding their emotions from others. They have a reputation of being fickle, although they will deny that being true, and they are right. Cancer signs are truly loyal and sympathetic towards their friends and family, although they can form a bad habit of feeling insecure about how others see them. Cancerians can appear hard and insensitive on the outside, but for those who know and love a “moon child,” they understand that deep within lies a softness and sensitivity that makes Cancer signs so special.  

Love and romance matter more than anything else to Cancerians (although this can occasionally share first place with having lots of money in the bank). No other sign romances better, equally though, no sign takes it so badly when romance turns sour either. But with their changeable natures Cancerians are fascinating, cryptic, stimulating and extremely alluring.

Essentially, Killua is the practical embodiment of the Cancer sign.

With the amount of accuracy Togashi poured into both Gon and Killua’s characteristics, I couldn’t help but wonder if Togashi also based their relationship on the compatibility of Taurus and Cancer signs. After doing a little more research, I’ve come to the conclusion that he most certainly DID base their relationship of their compatibility….which officially convinces me that these two boys were intended to be together by their indulgent creator….. be it romantically or platonically. For now, we’ll just go with the assumption that it’s romantic. Because honestly, they were made for each other.
