Animal Cruelty In Zoos
In these zoos, animals are treated cruelly and are killed for no reason, animals go through mental/psychological disorders, and lack the nutritious values that are only given to them in the wild. These reasons prove that zoos need to be shut down and these helpless animals deserve to live and thrive in the environment and habitat they come from. It is disturbing to think of how positive zoos are seen and how they are a popular attraction for people of all ages. Next time people go to a zoo, they should look closely at these animals and see the misery and depression in their…

Moreover, zoos improve human’s life too. Without zoos, there would be less job opportunities, less places for people to spend money and to promote economy, and less places for people to have fun with and interact with different types of animals. After all, zoos are the places that most children first have the experience of seeing so many different types of animals in real life, especially animals that do not even exist in the children’s…

Why Zoos Are Good By Dr. Dave Hone
In the article, “Why Zoos are Good” by Dr. Dave Hone, he talks about how children and adults might not be able to see animals like giraffes or lions. They may only see these animals in zoos. Dr. Dave Hone also states that people who visit zoos connects with animals and learns about how to help and protect the animals. On the other hand, in the article “Zoos Drive Animals Crazy” by Laura Smith it was stated that it is a problem zoos are created so that people can stare at the animals. The reason is because it gives most animals stress when they are being stared at.…

Summary Of The Film Blackfish
For example, the American Zoo and Aquarium Association commissioned a literature review that investigated the efficacy of zoos and aquariums in terms of education which concluded that “little to no systematic research has been conducted on the impacts of visits to zoos and aquariums on visitor conservation knowledge, awareness, affect, or behaviour”. While the findings that are available have shown that zoo-goers hold the prejudices against animals that are consistent with the general public (Jamieson 2006: 135). Furthermore, research (Ludwig 1981) found that the average zoo-goer only really pauses to view baby animals, or those who capture their attention with a striking behaviour. Moreover, it was reported that the most commonly used words to describe animals being viewed were those such as “cute”, “dirty”, and “weird”, not utterances that spring to mind when one thinks about education and understanding. Consequently, we can reject the claims that zoos offer worthwhile benefits in relation to education that justify animal confinement, given that there is no real evidence in support of this claim, while there is evidence that suggests that zoos and aquariums do not succeed in significantly educating people.…

Zoos Vs Hutchins
If someone hates animals, then they shouldn’t go into the zoo business. Also, in this modern age, individuals are taught to be selfless and giving and not selfish or hateful. Furthermore, Laidlaw supports his argument that zoos are not educating the population properly with “In fact, viewing animals in cages may be counterproductive educationally by conveying the wrong kinds of messages...”. I agree with Laidlaw that viewing animals in cages may be send the wrong message, especially to young children who don’t know better. However, he also states that this is “[viewing animal in cages is] the primary vehicle of education in most zoos”, which I disagree with.…

Animal Captivity Research Paper
Have you ever realized how zoo animals live? Imagine seeing an elephant in the zoo just standing there doing nothing, but then in movies and pictures you see them always walking and playing just always doing something. They don't have that choice in the zoo. Animals should not be kept in zoos or in captivity because they don't have the life they would have in their natural habitat, they are not taken care of well and they are not happy.…

Why Zoos Should Not Be Aloud Research Paper
Eddi Flores #9 Why Zoos Should Not be Aloud Although zoos are really cool to visit, I think Zoos should not be allowed, because the animals are caged up and not aloud to see the real world. Sure people don't get to see these animals, but I'm ok without seeing a kangaroo, if I do see them it would be nice, but I'm ok see them on the tv and that's enough. Animals at zoos are sometimes even taken away from their family to be at different zoos like the dad at the LA zoo and the mom at palm beach zoo.…

Argumentative Essay On Captive Animals
Zoos protect animals from these dangers and can help reintroduce endangered species back into the wild. “Quite simply without these efforts there would be fewer species alive today and ecosystems and the world as a whole would be poorer for it.” (Source D). These conservation efforts are important to the environment as the extinction of one species could devastate an entire ecosystem. Zoos are able to take care of animals much better than these animals can on their own.…

Cons Of Zoos
Should zoos still exist? Many zoos have tried to say that they are devoted to wildlife conservation, public education, and animal well-being. Almost every zoo states that they make significant donations to conservation by participating in endangered species captive propagation plans and public education programming. However, in most of those zoos, several animals suffer lives of unhappiness and poverty. Animals can suffer physically, mentally, and emotionally.…

Zoochosis In Zoo Animals
Stepping inside a zoo is like setting foot in the wild; with the only difference that the animals are enclosed behind bars and some are within a distance for public safety. Zoo animals, who are held in captivity, are restrained from having the freedom they were evolved to take advantage from because they are preserved for public education and amusement. What may seem like a friendly establishment for wild animals is in reality a park where animals: are used for “educational” purposes, are deprived from having an adequate environment where they can act like animals, suffer from stereotypical behaviors where their behaviors alternate, and are considered to be money makers rather than animals who are being preserved. When humans enjoy visitations…

Against Zoos Essay
Have you ever been to a zoo? Zoos are very popular and everyone has been to at least one, at some point in their life. They are known for showing off the wild animals, and educating you on them at the same time. I don’t think zoos do very well with that. To me, a zoo is a large business that captures wild animals and changes their lives forever.…
