Zwei Wing (ツヴァイウィング, Tsuvai Uingu?, "Two Wings") was a famous Japanese idol duo in the Senki Zesshō Symphogear universe. The group is composed of Tsubasa Kazanari and Kanade Amou.

Etymology[]

  • Zwei — means "two" in German.
  • Wing — This is derived from Tsubasa and Kanade's names; Tsubasa's is spelled with the kanji for "wings", and Kanade's last name, Amou, is spelled with the kanji for "heavenly wings/feathers".

History[]

Zwei Wing was created five years ago prior to season 1, after Kanade was told by a soldier that hearing her song gave them the strength to keep going during a crisis, giving her the idea to form an idol duo with Tsubasa.

Three years later, after Kanade's death in the tragic concert caused by Finé's sabotage, the group was disbanded, with Tsubasa continuing as a solo artist.
