This 1990 Volkswagen Golf Country Syncro was imported by the seller earlier this year from Graz, Austria, where the Steyr-Puch factory is located that modified these vehicles for VW when new. The Golf Country featured all wheel drive, a substantially raised ride height, a brush guard with driving lights, a heavy duty rear step bumper with tire mount, and body graphic decals. It is offered by a dealer with a clear Georgia title.

The interior is all original apart from aftermarket floor mats. The factory bucket seats retain their matching striped cloth upholstery, and both front bucket seats have patch repairs done at the outer lower bolsters due to wear.  The seller has indicated that there are 221,000 km showing on the odometer, and that the headliner pictures show that it could use attention.

Power comes from a 1.8L 4-cylinder gas engine and is routed through a 5-speed manual transmission.

The seller believes that there has been some paint and body work in the past, but that no modifications have been made other than the Borbet alloy wheels. There is some body rust shown in the photos near the gas door, on the driver’s side, and at the rear corners.
