TRÈS BON – I purchased a Citroen C2 VTS 2006 model back in 2015 as a Daily drive - commuting between Melbourne & Daylesford and it's been an amazing little run-about. It has plenty of power, is relatively fuel efficient (depending on driving style) and is quite stylish. Servicing and parts can be expensive, however if you're prepared to shop around (ebay,… Read more

wreckers etc) you can find decent second hand or generic parts. The car has 308,500 km on it and its still going strong. Regular serving, using high quality oils and gentle driving have all contributed to it's longevity. The only issues have been : CD got caught inside the CD player and vinyl section on steering wheel peeled.

Update 25.9.21 Car now has 484,845 km on it and no sign of giving up - I’ve had to replace the manual gear box in 2020 as the reverse gear died and I had trouble finding a spare 2nd hand gear boxes. This cost approx $3k to replace & install , which seems excessive but given the amount of driving I do, I could justify it. I put a new clutch in it as well and should get another 200-300km out of it. Apart from replacing tyres, oil changes, updating some suspension components and gaskets - the car has been reliable and dependable. I was able to remove a jammed CD in player with double side tape and have put a new leather steering wheel cover on, as steering wheel had started to peel.

Update 17.12.22 Car now has 524,810km on it as I’ve relocated interstate - I drive from Melbourne to Brisbane with no issues. I’m only doing local Kms now (not country Kms). I’ve recently re- gassed the AC for warmer climate and it works superbly.

bad option – weak engine, high fuel costs as it needs to be worked hard, unreliable with more faults then you could imagine. feels cheap and tacky inside. the car is ok as a first step or a city car but it is pretty poor on the open road and as the engine is quite weak it needs a lot of work increasing noise and fuel use. small poor reliability, poor handling, uncomfortable, cheap, underpowered.
