Peterjgrant said: Thanks Fred I will give them a try so far you have been more help than my warranty company my local garage and vauxhall uk combined Cheers Pete Click to expand...I called the place in Tamworth last week and they put me on to a place in Glasgow The Glasgow power steering centre I spoke to a man called John who asked me to bring my car in to have it checked it was there for less than ten minutes when he told me that the power steering motor was faulty I advised him that it was a recon unit that was only fitted in January he told me he doesn't know of anyone who can recon these units and he deals with people all over Europe I got on to my warranty company who wanted to fit another recon unit I told them I wanted a new motor this time as the last two recon units failed within 24 hours of being fitted they said I could only have a new unit if I paid the difference I agreed to this and it turns out glasgow power steering centre can supply and fit a brand new power steering motor for almost £300 less than my warranty company paid for a recon unit Needless to say I now have a brand new power steering motor fitted in my car and it works perfectly Thanks Fred for your advice and to John and his team at Glasgow power steering services for fixing my car Cheers Pete #5 · Feb 17, 2017

Like i said ACS know their steering & obviously knew that Glasgow did as well.
