i_am I The owner manual suggests the low beam bulbs for my car are H7. However, I pulled out the headlight and noticed the bulbs are H11. Additionally, H11 is engraved on the headlight housing right next to where the light bulb is inserted. Most online sources claim S60 has H7 low beams. Now, is H7 and H11 interchangeable or what? Edit: it was H11 to H9. #10 · Sep 14, 2019 active bending hid lights im pretty sure the h-7 bulbs are the exrta high beams for the hid light. i boutht h-11 when i change my hid last week and h 11 is a complete different style of fit gotta use h 7 #11 · Sep 16, 2019 I upgraded my halogen lights on my old S40. It was a while ago so if I'm wrong with the numbers (H7 vs H11 as stock), apologies. I believe they had H7's as the stock low beams. I upgraded to an H11. Slightly higher wattage and higher lumen output. The difference was in the connector. The H7's don't have a pin/slot in them. (____). The H11's do. (__|__). I just used a dremel tool and shaved down the pin/slot. Then just install them. Works like a charm, better light output and no damage to the car. Insert Quotes Post Reply
