rokrfilms R I haven't seen any posts about changing the Alternator in a P3 T6 which led me to believe it was going to be difficult. It was actually quite the opposite. Just time-consuming. You're going to need a 10mm ratchet and a 13mm. Remove the Negative from the battery! Remove engine cover so you can see the bolts for the intake manifold. Remove the 7 bolts for the intake manifold. Unscrew the clamp holding on the hose going into the throttle body. This will allow the intake manifold to move enough to have space to the alternator. There are 4 bolts total on the alternator. 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. Remove these and simply slide the alternator to the left and out. On the side of the alternator is the electrical plug that you need to unplug and a 13mm nut you need to remove. Redo these steps backwards to install the new alternator! DO NOT FORGET TO SCREW THE CLAMP BACK ON TO THE HOSE AS I DID! IT WILL POP OFF WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING AND YOU WILL STALL LOL. Hope this helped and here is a link to a video that shows some steps. #1 · Jun 11, 2019 I haven't seen any posts about changing the Alternator in a P3 T6 which led me to believe it was going to be difficult.
