G-Power has pushed the power output of the M6 from 560 hp and 680 Nm to 740 hp and 910 Nm(671 lb-ft) by upgrading the electronic control unit in combination with a high-flow exhaust sistem. The german tuner says that a large portion of the M6 potential stays unrevealed and G-Power is using this hidden potential for a power output enhancement of 180 hp and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque.

Based on the competence and knowledge coming from the up to 800 hp strong BMW M5 HURRICANE versions, G-Power has managed to limit the torque figures during the shifting process and so reduces the stress for the transmission. This effort shows the difference in quality of the G-Power electronic power output increase when compared to the competition. Just pushing the output fingers is something many can do; G-Power is providing a well balanced, high-quality package for the power output increase of the BMW M6.

Exhaust System

But not just the ECU management has been modified by G-Power in order to achieve a power output of 740 hp, the exhaust system has been substantially reworked as well to provide for an output optimized back pressure. The modification of the exhaust system cover catalysts replacement pipes (downpipes) and a G-Power Titanium exhaust system, including Titanium link pipes with resonators starting from the down pipe. In addition to the power output increase the G-Power Titanium exhaust system gives the BMW M6 a deep, throaty sound that turns heads but is at now time annoying and at the same time saves approx. 12 kg (28 lb ) compared to the stock exhaust system. The G-Power exhaust system is available with four Titanium or Carbon Tailpipes with a diameter of 100 mm each. As a result, the G-Power Bi-Tronik III V2 pushes the BMW M6’s standard output of 560 hp to 740 hp. Naturally the performance figures benefit from this output increase, as well. The figure from stand still to 200 km/h (124 mph) is now just 10.8 seconds and the top speed is more than 300 km/h (186 mph). m6-gpower-10-dyno-m G-Power HURRICANE Wheels

One will notice at first glance the 21-inch G-Power HURRICANE forged wheels, wrapped with tires in size 265/30 ZR21 front and 305/25 ZR21 rear. The double spokes, typical for the G-Power design, highlight the elegant design of the new BMW M6. Further improvement of the road handling is realized through the continuously height-adjustable G-Power coil-over suspension GM6-RS with nine selectable settings each for bound and rebound.

The cost of the engine tuning including the Titanium exhaust system is 17,900 euros, which is about $24,000 at today’s rates. Wheels and tires alone cost 8,325 euros ($11,200), while the coil-over suspension will set you back for 2,200 euros ($2,900)

Il tuner tedesco G-power è riuscito ad ottenere 740 cv e 910 Nm dalla bmw M6, partendo dai 560 cv e 680 Nm della vettura di serie. Grazie alle modifiche apportate a scarico e centralina. La BMW M6 è un auto già piuttosto potente così come esce dalla fabbrica, tuttavia secondo il tuner tedesco una parte della potenza del v8 rimane inutilizzata. G-power è riuscito ad utilizzare questo potenziale nascosto per arrivare ad un aumento di potenza di 180 cv e 230 Nm di coppia. Basata sull’ esperienza e sulle conoscenze acquisite grazie alla M5 HURRICANE da 800 cv, G-power ha cercato di limitare la quantita di coppia utilizzata durante le cambiate , riducendo così lo stress subito dalla trasmissione DKG, a dimostrazione del fatto che G-power non si limita ad aumentare la potenza erogata, ma si occupa anche di offrire al cliente un pacchetto di alta qualità, sicuro, durevole e bilanciato.

Exhaust System Le modifiche del tuner non riguardano solo la centralina, infatti anche l’impianto di scarico è stato riprogettato. G-power ha creato un impianto di scarico completo che permette all’auto di essere più leggera di 12 kg, di “suonare” in maniera più profonda e aggressiva (ma mai fastidiosa) e grazie aiterminali in carbonio anche l’aspetto estetico del posteriore giova di questa modifica. La BMW M6 G-power è così in grado di accelerare da 0 a 200 km/h in 10.8 secondi e di raggiungere i 300 km/h di velocità massima.

Si noterà a prima vista l’utilizzo di cerchi forgiati G-Power HURRICANEda 21 pollici, avvolti da pneumatici di dimensioni 265/30 ZR21 davanti e 305/25 ZR21 dietro. Le doppie razze, tipiche del design G-Power, evidenziano l’elegante siluette della nuova BMW M6. Un ulteriore miglioramento della tenuta di strada si ottiene attraverso le sospensioni coilover GM6-RS regolabili su 9 differenti posizioni.

Il costo della messa a punto del motore, compreso il sistema di scarico in titanio è € 17.900. Ruote e pneumatici da soli costano € 8325 , mentre le sospensioni coil-over vi costernno 2.200 euro.
