Martindown M Hi, I have a 2014 Up! It has a 4NSF GARMIN with Maps and More version 7.16.9 installed on it. When I plug it into the PC and use the Navigon Fresh software I can see there is a Q1 2018 Europe Map that can be bought for £55. I tried to buy the upgrade but the system told me I wasn't able to buy as I had the latest version installed. My questions are: What version of Europe Maps & More is the Q1 Europe 2018? I'm pretty sure the version I have(7.16.9) is not up to date even though it's telling me it is? Is my 4NSF GARMIN too old to get the Q1 Europe 2018? Am I doing something wrong? Does this mean I'm stuck with a Sat Nav that can't have it's maps updated? So dissapointed

Your navigation software is up to date, but of course your maps might not be. To check your maps version from the main screen - choose the more options button at the bottom. Then choose settings. Then choose map display - then go to the second page. The bottom category "Countries in" should tell you what the date of the maps is. My 4NSF GARMIN came with my 2016 Up and I used the voucher that came with it to get a discount on map updates. I updated both the software and the maps recently. If you have 7.16.9 and you didn't update it then the previous owner has. If you haven't had the car long the previous owner may also have updated the maps. #3 · Aug 25, 2018 Thank you, I have now updated the maps to Q1 2018. I'm not sure how I did it to be honest!. I have saved it all in "back up and restore" just in case. Only problem is Garmin have charged me the £55 for the Q1 2018 maps twice.....I will call uk garmin and I hope they will refund me one x£55. I feel such an idiot not being able to get this done without asking and without mucking it up! I did down load the "beamlight" for free too - Ha ha! Thanks Again, Insert Quotes Post Reply
