Honda has recently updated its quarter-litre naked bike, the CB250R, for 2022 in its home country, Japan. The motorcycle has received a couple of mild yet smart updates which make it a more attractive package.

The most notable updates come in the form of Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) inverted forks which are meant to be lighter and more absorbent as compared to the previous standard Showas. The rear, meanwhile, continues to incorporate a preload-adjustable monoshock. Moreover, the six-speed gearbox is accompanied by an assist and slipper clutch while the LCD dash now shows the engaged gear at a given instance while riding.

The rest of the specifications of the CB250R remain unchanged. The motorcycle is extremely light at 145kg (kerb) and the whole mass is propelled by a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 26.8bhp and 23Nm of torque. It should be quite fun to ride with the impressive power-to-weight ratio. Bringing to a halt are single hydraulic discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard. Moreover, it boasts a 10.5-litre fuel tank and the seat height is quite accessible at 795mm.

Honda won’t bring in the CB250R to the Indian shore anytime soon since we already have its bigger sibling, the CB300R which is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
