Warm up : Describing the pictures Questions: What are the people in the pictures doing? These people are doing the work being paid for it . what do you call kind of work? Lead in: Our lesson today, you will know about volunteer work in the USA. II. Pre-reading : * Vocabulary : - (to) voluntéer tình nguyện voluntéer (n) người tình nguyện voluntary (a) voluntarily (adv) hándicap (a) người tàn tật (to) mow cắt cỏ lawn mower máy cắt cỏ remóte (a) xa xôi * Checking Vocabulary: What and Where * Work in pairs: Read the following saying and explain what it mean (p.46) Expected answer: If someone gives you something to eat, you will not feel hungry anymore but this won’t last long. If someone gives you an opportunity to work or teaches you how to work, you will earn your own living for a long time. Expressing: “Give a man a fish you feel him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feel him a lifetime”. III.
