This qualification is for electricians who have been working in the industry, for at least 5 years but have not formally completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and Level 3 NVQ on site portfolio. To complete this qualification, you will also need your 18th Edition and 2391 Inspection and Testing. (This is not included in the price because it is bespoke for every learner)

Hands on training for success

 

All Electrical Academy course trainers have decades of teaching experience. Your assessor will work with you to ensure you meet the relevant C&G requirements to complete the course.

 

Course equipment requirements

 

You must bring photographic ID such as a passport or driving license with you in order to sit the assessments on this course.

Pre-requisites

Learners need to hold at least a Level 2 qualification within the Electrotechnical Industry to enrol onto the Experienced Worker 2346 qualification. A Skills Scan will need to be completed as part of the initial assessment and enrolling process.

Assessments

A performance-based portfolio in line with the C&G 2346 performance units. This involves the entire range of electrical installation work for the site-based portfolio and on-site assessment.

The AM2E is a 3-day assessment also offered by the Electrical Academy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is it suitable for? It is suitable for both self-employed and employed electricians who have been in industry for at least 5 years but have never gained any technical certification of their skills or experience. You will need to demonstrate good knowledge, understanding and competence of your work to the standard of the Level 3 Apprenticeship scheme. What the course covers? There are seven Units to be assessed in full before you can gain the Experienced Worker qualification: 102  Apply Practices and Procedures for Maintenance 106  Apply Health, Safety and Environmental Considerations 108  Organise and Oversee the Electrical Work Environment 109  Apply Design and Installation Practices and Procedures 110  Terminate and Connect Conductors 113  Inspect, Test and Commission Electrical Systems 115  Apply Fault Diagnosis and Rectification You must provide evidence from a site of your previous work to demonstrate you can fully meet the performance units of each unit. You will be assessed via a range of assessment methods and an assessor will be assigned to you to observe you at work on at least one occasion during the evidence gathering process. In edition you might need to complete your 18th Edition and Level 3 Inspection and Testing if you do not hold these already.
