Getting the hang of it
Feb 16, 2016 147 29 SE USA Have a new cam (2831) and noticed that I now have the B and H options. But after spending some time searching, I'm not finding anything clear that describes the differences in these 3 formats. Anyone able to comment on the primary attributes of each...compared to the other? (Good, Better, Best)?? Google it ..lots of info out there on it. ck42

Thanks. That gets me started. But...did spend 10 or so minutes already doing some Googl'ing and was shocked at the lack of results on this topic. That's why I ended up posting this thread. :) Toggle signature [BI-5 - i7-6820HQ (laptop) - 24GB - Win10] (3) Dahua HDW5231R-Z, (3) Dahua HDBW4231FP-AS, (2) Dahua HDBW2831RP-ZS, (1) Dahua W4231F-E2-M/M12, (1) HIkV DS-2CD2432F-IW, (1) HDW5831R-ZE c hris527

Yep...that's what I thought too. At least...from the Google hit that brought me to what looked like the main h.264 wiki...ZERO on 264B, 264H. Try it. So it's beyond your dignity to use search for yourself to find the answer, instead you are expecting me to do it for you?

Of course not. But with such a question, I'll wager you have no idea what the quote below has to do with anything you've read in this thread: "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime." Toggle signature Vietnam Veteran "Knowledge and wisdom don't always arrive on the same bus." -TonyR 2021 "A man's got to know his limitations". -"Dirty" Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) in "Magnum Force" 1973 "Deliberate omission of the truth is tantamount to premeditated, outright lying." -TonyR 2022 "Try the tack hammer first, then use the sledgehammer if necessary" - TonyR 2023

I know I'm not adding anything of value to this thread, but I do have to laugh at the fact that after 10 minutes it all became too hard. I'm sure that is a generation y or x or z (or whatever the newer lot are called these days) thing. Toggle signature Saltwater ps. My hindsight only works in the future wittaj

I burst out laughing with coffee pouring out my nose when I read: Fuck Off I freely admit I’ve used that phrase several times on this site this month! :( I can do better and just walk away and unplug. But, some of the AI / sense less trolling happening on the IPCT site is just out there! Toggle signature Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail https://gfinotify.com/ Discount Code: PC10
