This wikiHow teaches you how to open a tiff file on iPhone and iPad. Tiff files are high quality digital images. Viewing a Single Page Tiff
1 Open Files . The Files app has an icon that resembles a blue folder. It's in the Dock at the bottom of your homescreen. The Files app allows you to browse and open files on your device storage or cloud storage.
2 Tap Browse. It's the second tab at the bottom of the screen. This displays the Locations menu in a bar to the left. Advertisement
3 Tap the location the tiff file is saved to. If the file is saved to your iPhone or iPad storage, tap On My iPhone/iPad. If it is saved to your iCloud drive, tap iCloud Drive. If it is on a different cloud storage, such as Dropbox of Google Drive, you can tap that storage.
If the cloud storage service the file is saved to is not appearing in the Locations menu, make sure the cloud storage app is downloaded from the App Store, and that you are signed in to the app. Then tap Edit above the Locations menu, and tap the toggle switch next to the cloud storage services you want to appear in the Locations menu.
4 Navigate to the tiff file. If the tiff file is saved to a specific folder, tap that folder to view it's contents. Otherwise, you can scroll up and down to view all the files saved to your storage or cloud drive.
5 Tap the tiff file. This opens the tiff file in the default image viewer. The default image viewer can display single image tiff files, or the first page of a multi-page tiff file.
Larger file sizes may not be viewable on iPhone and iPad.

1 Open the App Store . The App Store has a blue icon with a white capital "A". You can open the App Store by tapping the icon on your homescreen. The App Store is where you download and install new apps for your iPhone or iPad.
2 Tap the Search tab. The Search tab is in the lower-right corner of the App Store. It's next to an icon that resembles a magnifying glass. This displays a page with a search bar.
3 Type Cimfax Tiff Viewer in the search bar. The Search bar is the grey bar in the center of the screen. Typing in the search bar displays a list of search results that match your text.
4 Tap Cimfax Tiff Viewer. As soon as CimFAX Tiff Viewer displays in the list of search results, tap it to display CimFAX Tiff Viewer in the App Store.
5 Tap GET next to CimFAX TIff Viewer. This downloads CimFAX Tiff Viewer to your iPhone or iPad. CimFAX Tiff Viewer has a purple icon that resembles an owl's face above the letters "tif".
6 Open the Files app. The Files app has an icon that resembles a blue folder. It's in the Dock at the bottom of your homescreen. Tap the circular button below the screen to return to your homescreen. The Files app allows you to browse and open files on your device storage or cloud storage.

13 Tap Copy to TIF Viewer. It's below the CimFAX Tiff Viewer icon in the list of apps. The list of apps is the second bar from the bottom of the Share menu. Swipe left on this bar to view more apps. This displays a small preview image of the tiff file in CimFAX Tiff Viewer.
14 Tap the preview image of the tiff file. Tiff files listed as small thumbnail images of the first page in CimFAX Tiff Viewer. Tap the thumbnail image to view the file in full screen mode. Swipe up and down to view other pages of the tiff file.
CimFAX Tiff Viewer may not be able to view some larger files.
If the CimFAX Tiff Viewer doesn't open, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Viewing a Tiff File Email Attachment
1 Download CimFAX Tiff Viewer. Use the steps outlined in Method 2 to download CimFAX Tiff Viewer from the App Store. CimFAX Tiff Viewer allows you to view multi-page tiff files.
2 Open your email app. If you use Apple Mail, tap the blue icon with an image of a white envelope. It's in the Dock at the bottom of the screen. If you use a different email application, such as Gmail, or Outlook, tap that application.
3 Open an email with a tiff file attached. Most email applications display a paperclip icon next to emails that have an attachment. Scroll through your email and tap an email with a tiff file to view the email message.
4 Scroll down and tap the email attachment. Most email applications display a list of attachments at the bottom of the email message. Tap the attachment to view a preview of the tiff file.
Some email applications, such as Apple Mail require you to tap the attachment once to download it before you can preview it.
5 Tap . The Share button is the icon that has a square with an arrow pointing up. It's in either the lower left or the upper-right corner of the screen. This displays the Share menu, which has a list of applications you can open the file with.
