This wikiHow teaches you how to open a tiff file on iPhone and iPad. Tiff files are high quality digital images. They can support many colors, layers, and multiple pages.[1] You can view a single image tiff using the default image viewer on iPhone and iPad. You can view multipage tiff files using an app called CimFAX Tiff Viewer.

1 Open Files
. The Files app has an icon that resembles a blue folder. It's in the Dock at the bottom of your homescreen. The Files app allows you to browse and open files on your device storage or cloud storage. -
2 Tap Browse. It's the second tab at the bottom of the screen. This displays the Locations menu in a bar to the left. Advertisement -
3 Tap the location the tiff file is saved to. If the file is saved to your iPhone or iPad storage, tap On My iPhone/iPad. If it is saved to your iCloud drive, tap iCloud Drive. If it is on a different cloud storage, such as Dropbox of Google Drive, you can tap that storage. - If the cloud storage service the file is saved to is not appearing in the Locations menu, make sure the cloud storage app is downloaded from the App Store, and that you are signed in to the app. Then tap Edit above the Locations menu, and tap the toggle switch next to the cloud storage services you want to appear in the Locations menu.

4 Navigate to the tiff file. If the tiff file is saved to a specific folder, tap that folder to view it's contents. Otherwise, you can scroll up and down to view all the files saved to your storage or cloud drive. -

. The App Store has a blue icon with a white capital "A". You can open the App Store by tapping the icon on your homescreen. The App Store is where you download and install new apps for your iPhone or iPad. -
2 Tap the Search tab. The Search tab is in the lower-right corner of the App Store. It's next to an icon that resembles a magnifying glass. This displays a page with a search bar. -
3 Type Cimfax Tiff Viewer in the search bar. The Search bar is the grey bar in the center of the screen. Typing in the search bar displays a list of search results that match your text. -
4 Tap Cimfax Tiff Viewer. As soon as CimFAX Tiff Viewer displays in the list of search results, tap it to display CimFAX Tiff Viewer in the App Store. -
5 Tap GET next to CimFAX TIff Viewer. This downloads CimFAX Tiff Viewer to your iPhone or iPad. CimFAX Tiff Viewer has a purple icon that resembles an owl's face above the letters "tif". -
6 Open the Files

14 Tap the preview image of the tiff file. Tiff files listed as small thumbnail images of the first page in CimFAX Tiff Viewer. Tap the thumbnail image to view the file in full screen mode. Swipe up and down to view other pages of the tiff file. - CimFAX Tiff Viewer may not be able to view some larger files.

1 Download CimFAX Tiff Viewer. Use the steps outlined in Method 2 to download CimFAX Tiff Viewer from the App Store. CimFAX Tiff Viewer allows you to view multi-page tiff files. -
