At 3XN, we believe that buildings are more than the sum of their parts and constantly seek to achieve a synthesis of design, function and context. Our buildings are uniquely matched to each project but always seek to combine beauty and meaning by putting people at the center of design. Designing buildings that are light and connected, ensures clarity and well-being for their users. Our work is founded in ongoing research into how buildings reflect and inform human behavior and the environment – this allows us to advance innovative solutions to contemporary challenges. We constantly seek to enhance a sense of community, identity and relationship to others through beautiful and functional spaces. Research is essential to our design and allow us to push the boundaries of aesthetics and functionality. Each project stands on the shoulders of previous work allowing us to constantly evolve and develop our know-how. As we learn from project to project, we apply this learning in new ways to add lasting value to our architecture and our practice. Today our staff is a mix of experienced project architects and talented young design architects from over 20 nationalities. We work on a global scale but take pride in our history and Scandinavian roots bounded by humanistic values. This allow us to re-invent tradition with a clear understanding of some of the most exciting and pressing challenges of the 21st century.

  GXNs rolle i byggebranchen giver os en særlig mulighed for at bygge bro mellem forskning og praksis. Samarbejdet med CITA er et godt eksempel på, hvordan vi på tværs af fagligheder kan udvikle ny viden og nye arbejdsmetoder i fællesskab. Netop i dette krydsfelt opstår de største muligheder for reel nytænkning og innovation – noget, der er helt afgørende i en branche, som i disse år er tvunget til grundlæggende at gentænke, hvordan vi designer og bygger.   Two of our projects have been named MIPIM 2026 Finalists: the recently opened 𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 and the 𝐙𝐔𝐃𝐎 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧, making its awards debut. Both projects reflect the power of bold vision, strong collaboration, and a commitment to shaping the future. While we haven't shared much about Zudo yet, we are excited to reveal more about this incredible collaboration with Victory Group, LMTD, and Bureau B+B urbanism and landscape architecture very soon. The Sydney Fish Market is designed by 3XN/GXN in association with BVN Architecture and ASPECT Studios for Infrastructure NSW and welcomed 230,000 visitors in its first week. It’s already reshaping how Sydney connects in this part of the city - opening up the waterfront at Blackwattle Bay and enriching the city’s harbour culture.   We're proud of the work and the talented teams and partners who brought these visions to life.   “A market should feel like part of the urban fabric — you turn a corner and it’s just there.” Senior Partner Audun Opdal’s remark is underscored by the public response at the new Sydney Fish Market: 40,000 visitors on day one and more than 230,000 since.   In its first week the new Sydney Fish Market has welcomed more than 230,000 people through its doors. This marks a proud moment for our team who worked tirelessly, alongside Placemaking NSW, Sydney Fish Market, 3XN/GXN, BVN Architecture, ASPECT Studios and Transport for NSW to help bring this world‑class harbourside destination to life.   Moving forward with 𝗞𝘃𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔 in Gothenburg! After an intense round of concept development, 3XN/GXN + MARELD landskapsarkitekter AB has been selected to continue in the competition for Kvarter A, Göteborgs Stad (City of Gothenburg), commissioned by Jernhusen AB. Three teams from six advance to step 2. The evaluation group based their selection on our response to the site's complexity, our ambitions, and the long-term sustainability embedded in the proposal.   Last week British Land celebrated the official topping out ceremony for 2 Finsbury Avenue. So, what does 'topping out' mean?   💡Taking its unmistakable place on London's skyline With the superstructure now complete, 2 Finsbury Avenue has reached its full height - 37 levels, 156m above ground! This moment transforms an architectural vision into a physical landmark.    💡It unlocks the next phase of transformation The focus now shifts to the interior: creating 750,000 sq ft of exceptional workspace, a winter garden on level 13, and a mix of green, leisure and public spaces that embody the vision.    💡It demonstrates momentum and scale Topping out highlights that the project is firmly on track. It reflects the enterprise, collaboration and dedication of our teams and partners like Sir Robert McAlpine & 3XN/GXN as we work to deliver one of London's most advanced workplaces.    At British Land, milestones like this are more than markers of progress.   Today marks a key moment in the transformation of Sydney's waterfront. After years of designing, engineering, and collaborating half way across the globe, the new Sydney Fish Market opens its doors for the first time! Now real, now public. Designed by 3XN/GXN in association with BVN Architecture and landscape architects ASPECT Studios, the new Sydney Fish Market is a new civic landmark on Sydney Harbour that reimagines working industry and public life. It is a harbour building that doesn't choose between commerce and community — it holds space for both. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘦-𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯 𝘢𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘵 𝘢𝘪𝘳.   Yesterday, we gathered on the 37th floor of British Land, GIC and Modon's 2 Finsbury Avenue, 156m above ground, for the topping-out ceremony to celebrate the expertise that has brought the tower to life. We are proud to collaborate with an ambitious team that is keen to push the boundaries of what is possible in the construction industry, developing carbon-considered circular design strategies and an innovative behavioural design brief. 2 Finsbury Avenue (2FA) is a commercial-led development located in the City of London at Broadgate, a mixed-use campus in the heart of the City of London. We are proud to be working with British Land, GIC, Modon, Sir Robert McAlpine, Adamson Associates Architects, FMDC Ltd, and façade contractor Focchi Group in this project.
