Keye Skware K I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered already, I couldn't find it. But, I have an SRP775 that is running very erratically and I think it just needs a new movement. It's my understanding that the NH36 and 4R36 are interchangeable. But one is about 3 times the cost of the other. Is there any mechanical or technical benefit to the 4R36 over the NH36? #1 · Feb 10, 2019 I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered already, I couldn't find it. Replace the rotor that says 4r on the new movement, none the wiser [emoji14] What erratic symptoms are you getting. I had one 4r36 with a loose rotor that just needed to be tightened. When you get the new movement, most if not all are 3 O clock position for the day wheel. So if you have a watch with 4 oclock crown. You will have to do a swap of the day wheel otherwise the day dial won't align with the window. #3 · Feb 10, 2019 Oddly enough, it's a beat error problem. I get it adjusted perfectly and the watch runs great until it runs completely down. When I bring it back into the rotation the error is off by 3-5 MS. I can't imagine that's something simple. #6 · Feb 11, 2019 How much time are you losing per day? I have a similar situation with a 4R movement but it keeps time within spec. Was wondering if I should address it or just leave it the way it is until I have no other option but repair, Sent from my ASUS_P00J using Tapatalk 0 Reply #4 · Feb 11, 2019 That are the exact same calibre. 4R36 is for Seiko branded watches. NH36 is for sale to third parties. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro #5 · Feb 11, 2019 Many thanks to all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk #7 · Feb 11, 2019 I can usually regulate it down to within +/- 5 spd when the bear error is at or near zero. Once it sits and I wind it back up it will be like 30 seconds slow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk #8 · Feb 11, 2019 My Seiko 5 with high beat error turns out to be my most accurate automatic watch: https://www.watchuseek.com/f2/timegrapher-madness-two-questions-4842063-2.html#post48030509 #9 · Feb 11, 2019 The two are near as dammit the same. #10 · Apr 15, 2019 can the NH36 also be used as a direct replacement for the 6r15? my Alpinist needs a service and i was quoted £150 :/ #11 · Apr 15, 2019 Remember the NH36 is a day-date movement while the 6R15 is date-only. It's probably the NH35 you're looking for, which is date-only. Well both movements are very very similar. AFAIK, the 6R15 (or it's unbranded version, the NE15) is just an NH35 with a different mainspring material (and maybe different hairspring material, but I'm not sure). In dimensions they're pretty much identical. I can't say for sure if they can exactly be swapped around in the Alpinist case, it's not unlikely. Here are some documents to peruse, Spec Sheet and Technical Guide on the NE15/6R15 and the NH35. Perhaps the answer is in there if you're really willing to dig through.
