760 is actually faster than a 1050 (non-Ti) by around 12%. There is no reason to upgrade, yeah, the 1050 has better driver support but that's a sidegrade, not an upgrade.

If OP wants more performance, he needs at least an RX 470: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-760-vs-AMD-RX-470/2159vs3640

They perform similary. All you would do is get newer card...

I went from 760 to 1060 and I didnt gain much performance.

The 1050 Ti would be an upgrade, albeit a small one. It draws half the power of the 760 which is a huuuge plus.

Yeah, there would be a small performance improvement with lower power consumption, but that's still not something that a person switching from a 760 would desire, the performance difference is too minimal... RX 470 is the cheapest I'd upgrade to from a 760:

Almost switched to a 1050 Ti from my 760 OEM lol. Glad I did not make that mistake. I thought it was not worth the upgrade and got a 480 4GB instead

And that's a very good thing you did imo. The performance difference is huge between the 480 and the 1050Ti...

    ok, here's the serious answer

the first number in a GTX card is the generation, the following numbers are the performance bracket. the 750ti and the 1050ti are in the same performance bracket (low end) but the 1050ti is clearly better because it has modern features. So to answer your question with this logic, the GTX 760 is one notch up from the 1050 in terms of performance bracket, but it's 3 gens older, so in this particular case it's no surprise that the two are very closely matched, the 760 is faster in terms of raw performance, but it's older so ittl use more electricity and get hotter and not have new features. There are people out there still rocking GTX 780ti's because they are still an "80" card, they are essentially the 980ti's of yesteryear and they can still pull their weight

for upgrading purposes they are similar enough that it wouldn't be worth the upgrade. there is no reason to pay the cost of a gtx 1050 to get performance that is similar to what you currently have. if you want to upgrade a graphics card you usually want to upgrade to something that is going to give a meaningful difference in performance. that is not the case when upgrading form a gtx 760 to a gtx 1050.

I went from 760 to 1060 and I didnt gain much performance.

How? Isn't the 1060 more than double the performance of the 760?

1060 6GB is just under 90% faster than a 760 so the performance difference is huge, but if he was being CPU bottlenecked then a GPU upgrade wouldn't do much.

A gtx 1050 would be ~10% faster and the 1050ti about ~25%, but it's a completely different classed card, requiring no pci-e connector to operate.  Since you already have the hardware in place for a gtx 760, I would stick to the same class for a noticeable upgrade.  Go for at least a gtx 1060 or RX 480, where you'll see nearly twice the performance.

No it is not. Only has about 100 more cores and higher clock speed but it doesn't double it.

760 and 960 perform within 5% difference. 1060 further increases the difference but its not life changing as I expected.

Something sounds wrong with your 1060 then.

    http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-760-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050/2159vs3650

I know it is too late , but i would never use that website as reference or recommend it to anyone , i consider it one of the bad websites that spread many bad information. not saying that 760 or 1050 better, am just talking about advising based on that site
