John March 12, 2023 at 10:59 AM You can get a really good discount on the 9th gen iPad with A13 vs virtually no discounts yet on the iPad 10th gen. In some cases a $170 difference in savings. Not sure it's worth that much of a bump in performance. Yes, you get a bigger screen still non laminated 10.9", and it's USB C but a slower version. Just for everyday stuff as a second device, the A13 in the 9th gen iPad is plenty for most. +62 Reply
Jason pham October 3, 2022 at 10:27 PM I don’t think A13 Bionic chip deserves a bad reputation if you think about it, yes the a14 chip is good but it’s pricy, devices with the a13 is good for the budget and performance. +55 Reply
A14 angel March 11, 2023 at 02:24 AM I used the iPhone 11 and it was very smooth in day to day usage but it wasn’t very responsive in terms of touchscreen input this could be due to the LCD display technology being outdated but still. It’s worth mentioning. then when I got the iPhone 12, typing and general navigation through the user interface felt a lot faster and more responsive, to be honest. and gaming on the iPhone 12 was a lot better and no screen dimming like the iPhone 11 this was likely due to the new efficient A14 processor with its 5-nanometer manufacturing process technology. +35 Reply
mirsab January 20, 2025 at 12:36 AM A14 angel, Bro, just use the iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have used it for at least 2.5 years, and it never disappoints because there is a minimal gap between the A13 and A14. The 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max both have a 60 Hz refresh rate, but the 11 Pro Max is well optimized compared to the 12 Pro Max. I used my 11 Pro Max for 2 years, and it always beat my friend's 12 Pro Max. Then it happened—13 Pro Max came—with a 120 Hz display, more brightness, and a huge battery, and a huge gap in graphics between the iPhone 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max. So after 2 weeks of launching the 13 Pro Max, I upgraded to it and gave my 11 Pro Max to my brother. In the camera department, the 13 Pro Max is still a champion in portraits during the daytime. However, due to its small aperture of the telephoto lens and 3x portraits lens, for taking a picture, we have to go far behind. The flash was not able to reach properly, and the results were grainy and less sharp. But in daytime, the 13 Pro Max is still the champion. I upgraded to the 14 Pro Max due to the dynamic island feature, but mainly because there was a 2x portrait as well. In 3x, the results were okayish, but at night, the 3x lens performs worse than the 13 Pro Max. I am using the iPhone 15 Pro Max because the 16 Pro Max was not worth upgrading to. I will upgrade to the 17 Pro Max or keep the 15 Pro Max if the A19 Pro is not a big jump in graphics. I would stick with a 17 Pro in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. 0 Reply
iXeo November 17, 2020 at 07:48 PM The A13 is better in GPU performance then A14. Please only compare fresh values. And also take thermal throttling into overview. +320 Reply
NDA December 4, 2020 at 12:45 PM But in iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPad Air 2020, it is better +193 Reply
Jason pham October 3, 2022 at 10:28 PM Yes I agree and also the price of the devices that come with the a13 are fairly cheap. +31 Reply
Thick boy Apple March 2, 2023 at 03:47 AM Is it really that much better? +67 Reply
Nightshot September 14, 2025 at 12:36 PM This is very misleading. A14 Bionic has undeniably better GPU performance. 0 Reply Name Message Send Send Comparisons
