Developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel, Marvel Rivals is a dynamic team-based shooter that combines the thrill of competitive gameplay with the rich lore of the Marvel universe. With its engaging mechanics and diverse character roster, players will have the opportunity to create powerful synergies and develop strategies that can lead them to victory in intense matches.  Marvel Rivals Characters  Marvel Rivals features an extensive and diverse roster of 27 playable characters (as of November 2024, and there will be more at launch). They come from across the Marvel Multiverse, each bringing unique abilities and playstyles to the battlefield. Gamers can expect to come across Odin, Wolverine, Doctor Doom, and many others as NPCs in the Marvel Rivals game.   Character Classes  The characters in Marvel Rivals are categorized into three distinct classes: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.   Vanguards serve as the frontline tanks, absorbing damage and protecting their teammates. Players select characters from a diverse roster, each with unique abilities, to engage in various game modes such as Convoy, Domination, and Convergence, where teamwork is essential for achieving objectives and overcoming opponents.    A standout feature is Team-Up Abilities, allowing players to combine skills for powerful synergies during matches. For Marvel PC game players, the Nitro V 14 Gaming Laptop is a suitable option since it comfortably meets the game's recommended system requirements.   Is Marvel Rivals Cross-Platform?   In the closed beta test, Marvel Rivals supported cross-platform matchmaking in casual modes but did not allow players to form parties across different platforms for competitive play. This means that while players on PC could match up against console users in casual games, they could not team up together in ranked matches. Whether any changes in the game's cross-play capabilities will be implemented at launch remains to be seen.    Furthermore, there is no cross-progression feature available at launch.
