In this guide, we will show you where to install the license key for your Sophos Firewall.

Note: When purchasing a hardware bundle (TotalProtect, EnterpriseProtect, etc.), experience shows that the license key is automatically installed by Sophos itself. As soon as you start the firewall, the license is activated. A manual import of the key is only necessary for renewals and single licenses.

1. Navigate to the “About the product” page

Log in to your XG Firewall and click on your username in the top right navigation. Then select Über das Produkt from the drop-down menu.

2. Activate subscription

Under Appliance Registration – Overview, click the blue button labeled Abonnement aktivieren. After that a window appears to activate the license key.

3. Import license key

Copy the license number from your license PDF, which you will receive by email after 1 – 3 days after your order, and paste it into the form field. In the following screenshot we have framed the field in red. Then click on Schlüssel verifizieren to read the license key.
