Allens welcomes second Vietnamese partner July 07, 2014 | 08:00 (0) user say Chia sẻ bài viết lên Facebook Chia sẻ bài viết lên Zalo Tweet Email Print Allens, one of Australia’s largest and oldest law firms, which has operated in Vietnam since 1993, has announced the appointment of Bui Khanh Linh as partner to the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City office.

The appointment brings its total number of partners in Vietnam to four, showcasing its ongoing commitment to the country.

Linh joined Allens in 2005 and has over 10 years of experience working as a lawyer in Vietnam across a broad range of sectors and specialties.

She has a particular focus on foreign investment and mergers and acquisitions in sectors such as food and beverages, oil and gas and infrastructure. Her major clients include Gazpromneft, PepsiCo, Abbott and Sapporo.

Linh also has extensive experience in Vietnam’s developing competition and anti-trust laws, and has worked on several major merger control filings.

Linh has an international background, having graduated from Moscow State University, and is fluent in Vietnamese, English and Russian which enables her to bridge the gap between foreign investor expectations and investment practice in Vietnam.

“We are delighted to announce Linh’s promotion to partner, which reflects both Linh’s outstanding expertise and our commitment to Vietnam where we have been at the forefront of the legal market for the past 21 years,” said Bill Magennis, the managing partner of Allens’ Vietnam practice.

Robert Fish, head of the Ho Chi Minh City office, said “I am delighted to welcome Linh to the partnership and we are looking forward to continuing to assist our clients, and the Vietnamese economy, grow through investment.”

Linh is Allens’ second Vietnamese partner, following the appointment of Hop Dang in Hanoi in 2011.
