I have looked at every review I can find and only seem to come up with performance numbers on the 6 spd Z51 cars. Anyone seen any numbers for an auto with and with performance axle? They did say the inter. was better but still had no personallity. They should do all the possible combos and post the times i.e. C-6 Coupe with auto trans with 3.15 rear end with base suspension and Magnetic Ride suspension . This is true and the automatic puts less stress on the drivetrain of the car. Local dealer has one that I am doing my best to avoid buying. Will you be competing in formal racing of any sort? Bottom line, the automatic will still leave 97% of all other cars in the dust when the traffic light turns green if you want it to, and the 3% of cars it won't wouldn't be as comfortable to drive or as reliable. But don't forget your hesitation when you are negotiating price with the dealer. As one of the best negotiation coaches in the world said.. "Care, but don't care too much." Anyone seen any numbers for an auto with and with performance axle? Several different car mags have approximately verified GM's numbers for the manual tranny with Z51. GM's nos. for auto tranny are: 0-60 4.6 sec. without Z51 0-60 4.5 sec. with Z51 1/4 mi. in 13.0 sec. @ 110 mph without Z51 1/4 mi. in 12.9 sec. @ 110 mph with Z51 Presumably, the Z51 times are with the 3.15 perf. axle, but don't know which axle they're talking about without the Z51. Not 100% sure though. My guess for the auto would be about 4.6.... Don't know which axle ratio he had. EDIT: Sorry, just realized you were looking for 0-60 times. My mistake. Last edited by Vette_DD; Nov 7, 2004 at 01:44 PM. C64GR Congrats on your choice......Have 2400 miles on my auto with 3.15 axle . No regrets and plenty of leg room where the clutch would take up space...Remember proper breakin !!!!
