Apple TV+’s new HR comedy 'Loot' renewed for second season

The show has been called an 'immensely entertaining workplace sitcom'

The newest workplace comedy series "Loot" from Apple TV+ has been renewed for a second season, following rave reviews from critics.

The show, which stars Emmy Award-winner Maya Rudolph, follows the story of a billionaire who spirals publicly following the betrayal of her husband. Upon hitting rock bottom, her own charity foundation reaches out to her and brings her on a journey of self-discovery. Rudolph, who is also one of the executive producers, stars along with Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Joel Kim Booster, Ron Funches, and Nat Faxon. The show is created by Emmy Award-winning creators Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard.

The 10-episode series has been received positively by critics since its release on June 24, and has been described as an "immensely entertaining workplace sitcom."

And halfway through the first season's airing, Apple TV+ announced that the show is renewed for a second season.

"Thanks to Maya, Alan, Matt, and the entire incredibly talented 'Loot' cast and creative team who have created a show filled with captivating and endearing characters, and hilarious and heart-warming moments throughout each episode," said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, in a statement.

"This show has captured the hearts of global audiences, and we can't wait for season two."
