  We recently had the opportunity to participate in the UN Virtual Worlds Day, organized by the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva. This event provided a valuable platform to explore how the metaverse can contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Such discussions are crucial for advancing the conversation and utilizing innovative technologies for real-world solutions.   For Round 3 we're changing things up a bit! Since virtual reality is such a visually impactful technology, this time Nolan Ether and I will be hosting a LinkedIn Live event so we can include some visuals as we talk through: Redefining Enterprise Collaboration with VR. First event - we went through what hybrid work is and why we should care. Second event - we talked about the downside of video & email and how modern 2D software let's us work more asynchronously. Now we're going to start talking more about in depth collaboration in VR and how it provides a new way to manage engaging meetings that get the most out of your time together as a team. ____ Even more exciting news... ..the next event after this one will actually be hosted in Arthur 🤩 Gives a chance for you to get hands on experience with VR and practice with how it can impact workplace collaboration. More of an opportunity for the community to engage. We'll setup some workshops that benefit from the 3D spatial environment and allow for more participation.   Virtual Reality (VR) is transforming learning experiences by making them immersive, interactive, and accessible in ways that traditional methods can't match. It is a matter of pride to see our platform enabling such innovative experiences across the globe. Recently, Talent Development and HR Master Students at IE University leveraged Arthur to have an engaging, interactive, and fun learning experience. One of the students, Luca Gerini, shared how the experience was so immersive it felt like being physically present in the classroom, highlighting VR's potential to make innovative learning experiences possible irrespective of the candidate's geographic location. Going one step further, VR's ability to simulate real-world scenarios, like job interviews, demonstrates the technology's potential to significantly enhance learning outcomes. Considering the possibilities once they enter the workforce, the students also saw that VR can be effective for upskilling and reskilling employees. Thanks to pioneers like Tania Romero Sommerz and IE University, we are already seeing examples of how VR is proving to be a boon for learning.   I enjoy so much teaching to my Talent Development and HR Master Students at IE University. Today we met on Arthur where students shared their key learnings of using VirtualSpeech and Bodyswaps for Learning & Development. It was really insightful to listen to their experience and learnings and how they see the benefit of #VR for #upskilling and #reskillling employees. It's also helping them to practice some job interviews now that they are getting close to finish their Masters program.   Last week we hosted the second event of our event series on hybrid work and the role of technology. We delved into the challenges of video-first collaboration and the benefits of asynchronous tools like Loom, Atlassian Jira, and Miro.   Thanks everyone for joining our 2nd LinkedIn Audio event this morning! Great to see a lot of the same faces from round one and to meet a few new folks as well. Last time we dove into why hybrid work matters. This time we talked a lot about the downsides of video first collaboration, and the positive impact of asynchronous tools like Loom, Atlassian Jira, Miro and others. Freddy Mercado brought up some great points about having a workplace culture that aligns with the tools you adopt. Companies that have made the push for more asynchronous tech stacks, now have a new challenge in front of them. You’re able to manage distributed teams and reap the benefits of diverse talent and agile workflows, but there’s still times where you want to collaborate as a group in a dedicated meeting. If you’re 100% reliant on video calls or you can only schedule on sites a few times each year, that’s a huge gap in your process. So what do we do? You’re team works remotely, how do you manage the meetings you would normally have in person? This is where spatial computing, VR, the metaverse offers tangible business value. A new medium of communication to serve a new way of working. Here’s a short clip from todays session with Nolan Ether hosted by Arthur ____ The next one is June 12th!   Nolan Ether and I are hosting another LinkedIn Audio with Arthur! Last time we kept it pretty high level on what hybrid work actually is and why large global companies need to figure out their plans around the future of work. Some of the highlights were about workplace culture, independent work vs async collaboration vs intentional meetings either in person or virtually. This time we're going to get a little deeper into the weeds. Outside of 30min video calls, how can teams of the future stay connected and get work done together as a team?
