Fabulous gaming laptop you could buy in 2021

Writing this review after 5 days of complete usage with gaming as well as day to day work in Windows 10 Pro with latest patchs (Upgraded from Home) Pros - Excellent keyboard with optimal key travel - Sufficient brightness for display to 300 nits - Slim Bezelless display (you won't even notice there is a bezel in day to day usage) - No thermal throttling (6 hours per day of gaming including Cyberpunk , Battlefield V, Forza 4, Battlefield 4, Minecraft, etc) - Individually addressable RGB backlit keys (Its unlimited combinations of RGB madness) - Excellent speakers with good base(Enough to fill in a 20 by 20 room without any issues) - Battery life is Amazing (6-7 hours in regular usage , 2 hours in gaming) - Thermals (Temperature were optimal ranging between 65 - 85 but you won't feel any uncomfortable hotspots on the laptop while using other than exhaust vent side) - No voltage throttling (Have been a intel user for ages were i struggled with voltage throttling but this is a power hungry beast :P ) - Thinner in size and maintaining cooling and performance unlike most laptops in similar segments - Higher RAM clocks 3200Mhz - upgradability (1 empty Nvme SSD slot and un soldered RAM slots which can be upgraded to 64GB as per ASUS website. Will be soon upgrading to 32GB) - USB - C charging @ 100W - Numpad in trackpad (Providing numpad in track pad is an awesome feature which allows Asus to have good spacing between each keys and provide smaller laptop footprint) - Higher TDP than other RTX 3060 + Ryzen 7/9 laptops in the segment (believe me, you will feel the different in performance | tested it with buddy laptop with similar spec but lesser TDP and was seeing 4%-7% difference in performance in gaming work load) - AI Noise cancelling in mic works like a charm Cons - No thunderbolt port (i know its Intel exclusive feature but.... would expect that in this price range) - No easy access to upgrade (Some ROG laptops have a single panel with 1 screw for easy access to switch RAM and SSD eg. gl503ge, etc but this one requires you to remove the complete backpanel with 11 screws) - Lack of webcam (In this time of pandamic, webcam has become an essential for WFH environments) - No MUX switch (Even though the laptop has high spec processor, its still a bottleneck and hampers performance in CPU based games | you wouldn't see any difference in GPU based games) -

Great product

I was skeptical at first looking at the amount of reviews and ratings then had no choice but to order online cause there is literally no stock for this exact model offline but this seller is legit, got mine after just 2 days of placing my order and it's a real product. The specs are r9 5900hx 8 cores, rtx 3060 6gb vram, 16 gigs ram,1tb gen 3 ssd, battery life is amazing I get about 8 hours while watching videos or movies and 4to5 hours while doing medium to low work like excel or 3d modeling in creo or fusion 360 for class, oh and the rgb is hella good The thermals are fine or sometimes good for a "LAPTOP" while heavy gaming like COD black ops cold War the cpu is at 85+ to 90 C and gpu is at 75+ to 80 C but it does not thermal throttle SOME GAME'S fps Cod cold War (high seting rtx off): 120 to 150fps Forza Horizon 4 (high settings with ultra reflections): 130 to 150 fps Apex legends (high settings ): about 140fps One more thing the speakers on this is actually good it has built in dolby atmos support and it's actually not bad pretty decent for a laptop speaker 10/10 would recommend
