Australian car importer and distributor Ateco Group says it will sell at least 59 per cent more vehicles this financial year, at the same time its backers prepare the company for a float.

In its maiden pitch to fund managers on Thursday, Ateco Group said it expected to sell at least 36,193 cars and pickup trucks in the year to June 30 with committed second half sales alone almost on par with last financial year.
