Banking and Insurance.• Preparing students to exploit opportunities, being newly created in Banking & Insurance, Accounting and Finance as the profession due to Globalization, Privatization & Liberalisation.• To provide adequate basic understanding about Banking, Insurance & other financial services to the students and to give an adequate exposure to operational environment in the field of Banking, Insurance & other related financial services of Accounting and Finance.• To inculcate training, and practical approach, by organizing industrial visits, summer placements and using modem technology in teaching the students in the field of Accounting & Finance and Banking & Insurance.

College of Commerce & Economics with a CGPA of 3.72 on a scale of 4, the highest CGPA in India under the revised scheme; and the highest score in Maharashtra till March 23, 2013.H.R. College also has the unique distinction of having received autonomy in 2007 from the University Grants Commission (UGC), making it the first college in the 150-year history of the University of Mumbai to have achieved this feat. The College will implement autonomy in due course.
