Additional notesBL 12.2.2 specializes in powder, single crystal, and multigrain x-ray diffraction for atomic structure determinations of materials at extreme conditions. Diamond anvil cells (DACs) are utilized for reaching Mbar pressures. Multiple heating schemes for both ambient pressure and DAC experiments can realize temperatures in excess of 2000°C.
