Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Texas

    1. Quoc Bao Bakery Specialty: Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) Price Range: $ Address: 3419 W Walnut St, Garland, TX 75042 Phone: (972) 272-9892 Note: Take out and CASH Only. Comments: Vit Nuong Chao (Baked Duck) used to be good but it wasn't good the last time I tried. They do have a variety of Banh Mi (i.e. Banh Mi meat balls, Banh Mi grilled chicken etc...). My favorite is Banh Mi Thit Nguoi (Banh Mi with different kind of cold cut meat/ham, home made pate, home made butter, pickles, cilentro and cucumber).     2. Dong Que Specialty: Bò 7 Món (7 Courses of Beef), Ca Nuong Da Gion (Cá Nướng Da Giòn, Baked Catfish) Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: 3555 W Walnut St, Garland, TX 75042 Phone: (469) 298-2747 Note: Dine In and Take out.
    3. Pho Bang Restaurant Specialty: Phở Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: 3565 W Walnut St, Ste A, Garland, TX 75042 Phone: (972) 487-6666 Note: Dine In and Take out.
    4. Món Ngon Sài Gòn Specialty: Cháo Vịt Thanh Đa (Duck Congee + Duck Salad) Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: Inside Saigon Mall Food Court (3212 North Jupiter Rd, Garland, TX 75044) Phone: unknown Note: Self Serve and Take out. CASH Only.
    5. Che Hong Kong Specialty: Goi Cuon (best so far in DFW), Cari Ga (Vietnamese Curry Chicken) Other good dishes: Other home made Vietnamese food. Price Range: $ Address: In the food court next to Hong Kong Market (9780 Walnut St, Dallas, TX 75243) Phone: unknown Note: Take out and Cash Only. There are some round stone tables and seats the the food court.
    6. Golden Crown BBQ Specialty: Chicken Feet (Like the one serves in Chinese Dim Sum restaurant) Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: In the food court next to Hong Kong Market (9780 Walnut St, Dallas, TX 75243) Phone: unknown Note: Take out and Cash Only. There are some round stone tables and seats the the food court.
    7. Hiep Phong Supermarket BBQ Specialty: Heo Quay (Roasted Pork) Other good dishes: Thit Xa Xiu Price Range: $$ Address: 10560 Walnut St Ste 1100, Dallas, TX 75243 Phone: (972) 276-9300 Note: Take out only
    8. Doan Restaurant Specialty: Thit Nuong (Grill meat), Bun Cha Ha Noi, Đậu hũ chiên (Fried Tofu-take out only) Price Range: $ Address: 3530 W Walnut St, Garland, TX 75042 Phone: (972) 494-5213 Note: Dine In and Take out.
    9. Viet Tofu Specialty: Thit Nuong (Grilled meat), Nuoc Mia (Sugar Cane Juice), Goi Du Du (Papaya Salad), Bánh tiêu (Hollow bread). Price Range: $ Address: 3555 W Walnut St, Garland, TX 75042 Phone: unknown Note: Take out and CASH Only. They also sell Nuoc Mia (sugarcane juice).
    10. Hu Tieu My Tho Restaurant Specialty: Hu Tieu (Pork based Noodle soup) Price Range: $ Address: 4425 W Walnut St Garland, TX 75042 Phone: (214) 703-6630 Note: Dine in and Take out.
    11. Duc Huong Gio Lua Specialty: Cha Lua, Gio Lua (Vietnamese ham or Vietnamese sausage) Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: 3347 W Walnut St, Garland, TX 75042 (Next to Hiep Thai Market) Phone: unknown Note: Take out and CASH Only.
    12. Pho Que Huong Specialty: Bo Kho (Beef Stew) Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: 240 Legacy Dr., #108, Plano, TX 75023 Phone: (972) 527-4444 Note: Dine In and Take out. Comments: Though this chain restaurant is known for Pho by non-Vietnamese, I never really had a good Pho here. I do however enjoyed their Pho Bo Kho (Beef Stew with Pho noodle). I rarely dare to try Beef Stew in a restaurant after a few disastrous attempts.
    13. Pho Tay Do Specialty: Bún bò Huế (Hue Style spicy noodle soup) Other good dishes: TBD Price Range: $ Address: 1403 E Campbell Rd Ste 104, Richardson, TX 75081 Phone: (972) 680-80884 Note: Dine In and Take out. Comments: Don't be fooled by the name. This is the place for Bún bò Huế not Pho. Check out Wikipedia-Bún bò Huế if you're not familiar with this dish. Bistro B Specialty: Gỏi cuốn Nha Trang (Nha Trang style spring rolls) Other good dishes: Cá kho tộ (Caramelized fish in clay pot) Price Range: $ Website: http://www.bistrob.com Address: 9780 Walnut St Dallas, TX 75346 Phone: (214) 575-9885 Note: Dine In and Take out. Comments: They have a long list of dishes in their menu and sell tons of take out stuff at the cashier at very low price especially when you buy 3 or more items. Their Canh Chua Ca (Viet fish hot and sour soup) used to be very good but they made it too sour the last few times I tried. Their Cá kho tộ is still good.

Note: This list is no way complete as I have not yet had the opportunity to try all the restaurants in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I'll be adding more as soon as I found good restaurants. You may have noticed that for a restaurant, I usually only list one or two dishes. The reason is to most Vietnamese, a restaurant can only do a few good dishes.
