If BMW launched the production version a year early, around the same time as they did with the concept version, it would be an even more analogue competitor with the E55 AMG W211 and the RS6 C5.

The true Nurburgring time was 8:13. Even if it had the limiter detached there would not be a 21-second gap between these two lap times. 7:52 would be possible on contemporary semi-slick tires. Very few cars ran that time, and it was mostly supercars like F430, Gallardo, Ford GT, C6 Z06, and certain 996/997 versions. Even the 360 Challenge Stradale and the 400hp Corvette twins were slower.

How Wiesmann GT MF5 can be slower on Nordschleife with same engine and much less weight? 7:52 by Auto Bild versus 7:52 by anonymous. Official lap time by Sport Auto is 8 min. 13 sec. I’m talking about stroked “1 of” M5 CSL with 570 hp. But stock M5 E60 will not be able to achieve such a result. 7:52 is faster than M5 F10 Competition. How????? Tell me, how???

It's pretty insane how new prices have gone up for the M division. 15 years ago you could buy an M5 for 90k, now they're closer to 120k.

Steve Dinan engineered a BMW M5 V10 STROKER engine! This was ages ago! That engine a naturally aspirated unit was and IS God tier! I'll have to look specifications up again. Just LOOK at the manifolds! Oo

The slower time for the M5 is from a magazine test with a passenger. Stuck's time was also with a passenger but Stuck is obviously more comfortable pushing a car around the Nordschleife than HvS.

What blows my mind is that the new civic theoretically is faster than M5 E60, I might be wrong but isn't nordschleife power track? With high speed straights power is huge advantage, and yet M5 E60 has 220 hp more than civic

I realy love BMW M5 E60 but I don't believe in 7;52 with Hans Joahim Stuck...Great driver, great car but i seems like mistake. Stock BMW M5 E60 8;13 Stock BMW M6 E63 8;07 20 second less than is some mistake! Probably his drive G-Power Hurracan? Any have this video?

I remember my friend drive one of this in Ebisu highway. He got the limiter removed. I was on back seat when he drive this one so fast before finally reach mountain area. But surely, it hit around 300 kph
