BMW confermerà la propria indole sportiva con l’introduzione della nuova M3 e della inedita M9. La nuova generazione della BMW M3 deriverà dalla Serie 3 modello F30 e sarà svelata l’anno prossimo, prima come concept car al Salone di Ginevra in programma a marzo e poi con la versione di serie attesa al Salone di Francoforte in programma a settembre 2013.

La vettura sarà equipaggiata con il motore 3.2i TwinPower Turbo a 6 cilindri in linea da 450 CV di potenza e 280 km/ di velocità massima, in abbinamento allo sterzo Electric Power Steering prodotto da ZF. Inoltre, la M3 sarà proposta anche con il pacchetto M Performance che incrementerà la potenza a 480 CV e la velocità massima a 300 km/h. La BMW M9, invece, sarà l’erede della M1 e debutterà sul mercato nel 2016 al prezzo base di 250.000 euro. Sarà equipaggiata con il propulsore V8 TwinPower Turbo da 650 CV che consentirà di raggiungere la velocità massima di 330 km/h, mentre la massa di soli 1250 kg sarà garantita dall’uso di alluminio, magnesio e titanio. Inoltre, la dotazione comprenderà anche i sistemi ad alta efficienza del pacchetto EfficientDynamics. La M9 sarà la versione di serie della concept car BMW M1 Hommage, esposta all’edizione 2008 del Concorso d’Eleganza di Villa d’Este.
