Recent Updates of BMW S 1000 RR M Package

This flagship supersport motorcycle from BMW has received multiple updates for the 2023 model year. The S 1000 RR now comes with an upgraded engine that produces more power along with an updated design, aerodynamics, electronics and chassis. The engine is still the same inline four-cylinder, however, it now makes 210 hp of power at 13750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11000 rpm. This supersport motorcycle now comes with winglets on the redesigned front fairing and a new, sportier rear end. Electronic aids now see the addition of Brake Slide Assist and Slide Control.

The BMW S1000RR is regarded as one of the finest litre-class super sports ever made, and the current iteration of the motorcycle is easily the best one in the entire lineage to date. The BMW S1000RR M Package is the more premium variant of the two variants of the motorcycle sold in Malaysia. It gets a few added features over the standard S1000RR, which are taken from the mind-boggling M1000RR. The BMW S1000RR M Package is available in Malaysia in a single colour option of Light White/Racing Blue/Racing Red.

BMW S 1000 RR M Package Design

With the current iteration, BMW ditched the asymmetric design language of the S1000RR, which was one of the biggest highlights of the motorcycle. However, the new design language is not under-appealing in any means, as it still has got the aggression to match the performance it promises on paper.

At the front, the BMW S1000RR M Package has got a very aerodynamic and well-curved fairing, which now gets two symmetrically-placed LED projector headlamps inside slim hexagonal housings. These headlamps are assisted with sleek daytime running LEDs positioned below them and are separated by a sleek Y-shaped black motif, which runs towards the transparent windscreen at the top. The rearview mirrors mounted on the front fairing come integrated with LED turn indicators within them.

Like the frontal part of the fairing, the side panels of the fairing too now wear a more symmetric design and come with bigger hollows for better air dissipation. Other highlights of the design of the BMW S1000RR M Package are a bulbous looking fuel tank and inverted C-shaped side body cowls below them. One can see the bridge-type frame present below the rider’s seat in a slightly exposed manner, which rises towards the tail section of the motorcycle.

The rear profile of the BMW S1000RR M Package has a unique arrangement for the tail lamp, with the LED turn indicators having the dual functionality of serving as the tail lamp too. These lights are mounted on the tiny fender attached to the sharply rising tail section of the motorcycle.

The BMW S1000RR M Package gets a fancy-looking and very comprehensive full-TFT instrument console. Available with multiple options of the display, the instrument console gets digital readouts for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meters, selected riding mode, clock, gear indicator and many more details.

As a part of the M Package, this premium variant of the BMW S1000RR gets additional add-ons like M Carbon wheels, M Sport seat and M lightweight battery.

S 1000 RR M Package Ride & Handling

There is a fine reason why the BMW S1000RR is ranked as one of the finest litre-class supersport motorcycles to ride. The motorcycle gets premium-spec hardware under the skin, including a suspension combination of 45mm telescopic fork, compression and rebound stage adjustable, adjustable preload suspension at the front and WSBK aluminium swing arm, full floater pro, compression and rebound damping adjustable, adjustable preload mono-shock at the back. For braking duties, the BMW S1000RR M Package gets 320mm twin discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.

BMW S 1000 RR M Package Engine & Fuel Consumption

The BMW S1000RR M Package gets a four-stroke, inline-four, water/oil-cooled, fuel-injected, 999cc engine, which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and produces maximum power and torque outputs pf 207 PS and 113 Nm respectively. These figures make the BMW S1000RR M Package one of the best and most powerful motorcycles in the business. As a part of the standard package in this variant, the motorcycle gets the Riding Mode Pro package with Race Pro 1, Race Pro 2 and Race Pro 3.

S 1000 RR M Package Braking & Safety

The overall riding dynamics of the BMW S1000RR M Package are further enhanced by four riding modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race, dynamic damping control, shift assist pro, ABS Pro with settings for rain, road and dynamic mode, standard ABS in race mode, dynamic traction control and hill start control.
