CuSn8 is a copper alloy reinforced with a solid solution (bronze) containing 7.5 to 8.5% tin. CuSn8 is a phosphor bronze with high friction properties. High grade tin provides high mechanical strength and elasticity with adequate conductivity (it is 13% IACS at 20°C). The alloy is very wear resistant, has very good corrosion resistance and can be easily welded.

CuSn8 : its properties

CuSn8 has several properties such as high wear resistance and high strength. It is very malleable, its deformability is excellent when cold, but poor when hot.
