UKMT- Intermediate Mathematics Challenge (IMC)

The Intermediate Mathematical Challenge (IMC) is for students in Year 11 and below, covering some of the high school knowledge. IMC encourages students to improve their mathematical reasoning ability, understand and master higher mathematical skills.

1. Date:  Jan. 29, 2026 (Thur.) after school 

2. Qualification:  Year 11 or below

3. Fee: 180HKD/ student

RECITAL EVENING

INTERESTED IN PERFORMING AT THE DC RECITAL EVENING?

Event Timing: Tuesday 27 January 6pm in the PA Theatre The Recital Evening features concert repertoire at a high performance level by students from both Primary and Secondary. Performances may range from soloists to small chamber ensembles, and generally features western art repertoire, classical music and traditional music (for example a guzheng or Erhu). If you want to audition to perform at the coming Recital Evening please fill out THIS FORM before Friday 9 January and submit a performance audition video no longer than 3 minutes. This should be an excerpt of the piece you intend to play at the concert. DP and Music Scholarship students do not need to provide an audition video but you must indicate the piece you intend to play. Please note the piece you use in your audition MUST be the piece you perform otherwise you will need to submit a new audition video.  If you are selected to perform on the Recital Evening you will receive an email notification with further details of the event.

Badminton trials

Trials for badminton teams will be held: Thursday 15th January at 3:30pm - 5:30pm in the 2F Gym. Please bring your own racquets.  SIGN UP HERE

Badminton trials are for experienced competitive players as you need to be capable of refereeing matches along with playing at a high level against other international schools.  

If you are not at competition level yet, please do not sign-up the trials. We recommend trying Badminton lessons if you are new to the sport first.

The ISSFHK Season will run from February 2nd to March 24th, 2026 and we have entered 4 teams (listed below) of 6 - 9 players plus 1 reserve player, in each team.

DCMUN III Open!

The third iteration of Discovery College’s Model United Nations conference is happening on the 31st of ...January and the 1st of February.

The third iteration of Discovery College’s Model United Nations conference is happening on the 31st of January and the 1st of February. 

 

Model United Nations is a student-led interschool activity where you debate as politicians and come to resolutions regarding real-life issues such as climate change, war, and poverty. The theme of this year's conference is “Into the Rabbit Hole”, a play on Alice in Wonderland!

Whether you’re a beginner who's passionate about international politics or debate, or an experienced delegate, feel free to join this school year's conference to support the development of our world's future politicians! 

The deadline for the form is the 15th of December 2025, with the cost being 300HKD (lunch + merchandise provided).

Discovery College UNICEF Club

Are you interested in art, child rights or promoting the Sustainable Development Goals? Join us for the UNICEF SDG Art Competition II organised by the Discovery College UNICEF Club. Choose one of the 17 SDGs, create a creative art piece dedicated towards it and submit to be eligible for a winners prize!  Taking part in this competition not only provides you with a platform to showcase your artistic talents, but also encourages you to engage with critical global issues.
