C-1 Transport Aircraft

The C-1 Transport Aircraft has greatly contributed to the enhancement of transportation capabilities of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) performance－an important qualification for tactical transport planes－ was realized by a high-lift system consisting of a leading edge slat and a four-stage Fowler flap. This aircraft is also equipped with the latest electronic navigation devices, enabling it to fly at night and in all types of weather
