bassplayer My Equinox threw a C0035 Right Rear Wheel Speed sensor Circuit Open or Shorted code - ABS I replaced the hub, which included the new Speed sensor Circuit and then cleared the code. Went back and started it up and the C0035 code was thrown again. Same description -- Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Open or Shorted. WTH? I replaced it with a brand new hub assembly/sensor? Anyone with any other things to check? I tried pulling the ABS fuses/relay, but then the stupid parking break light comes on and the related chimes start chiming every 2 minutes... #1 · Aug 12, 2017 My Equinox threw a C0035 Right Rear Wheel Speed sensor Circuit Open or Shorted code - ABS I replaced the hub, which included the new Speed sensor Circuit and then cleared the code. You might be working on the wrong side of the horse? See link below. https://www.autocodes.com/c0035_chevrolet.html #6 · Aug 13, 2017

Ah, that explains why the horses breath smelled like crap ! LOL 0 Reply #3 · Aug 12, 2017 RedNox - Thank you! The more a research just that code the more I find it being for the LEFT FRONT sensor. Boy, do I feel like a heel. Thanks Harbor Freight for that! It was its scan tool I used. lol :) Hopefully the speed sensor is the same on the front as it is on the back. I have an extra new sensor I can try to swap out first before going the whole hub route. Thanks again! #4 · Aug 12, 2017 Not to rub salt in the wound - but a quick online search for GM code C0035 shows the LF wheel sensor. Perhaps in the future you should research the codes more thoroughly to ensure you are not wasting time and effort. Good luck. I'd be kicking myself....... 1 Reply #5 · Aug 13, 2017 Ill have to check my harbor freight scanner to see what it displays for C0035 #8 · Aug 13, 2017 yup--- checked my unit--- it also shows C0035 as the right wheel.... looked at nearby codes- and there is another right wheel... so definite error/typo on their end. #9 · Aug 17, 2017 Well, I changed out the front left wheel speed sensor and its still throwing that C0035 code. I have a bad feeling that its the computer that's bad. "Hopefully the speed sensor is the same on the front as it is on the back. I have an extra new sensor I can try to swap out first before going the whole hub route." The front wheel sensors are not the same as the rear. FYI. Anyone know the fuse # to pull to eliminate the parking break chimes? :) I can pull the ABS (#16), but then the parking break chimes every two minutes even though the break is disengaged. #10 · Aug 18, 2017

Try fuse #32 in the underdash fuse box. This fuse also sends a wire to the ignition switch. I would try it but keep your eyes open. Just went into O'Reilly's yesterday to use their ABS Code Reader to see if it matched what my Harbor Fake Code Reader (w/ABS) was saying ... and it brought up code C0035, which their computer system said was the Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor. However, their same system also showed (on another sub-screen), "Right" Front Wheel Speed Sensor! LOL! So the guy at the desk laughed and said, "well, it's one of the front wheel speed sensors"! Great! RockAuto shows two different part numbers for ACDelco: Front Left: 20811372 More Information for ACDELCO 20811372 Front Right: 20811371 More Information for ACDELCO 20811371 ... with an 80 cent price difference. Looking at both sensors closely, I can't tell the difference between them (but maybe the pictures are wrong?). To me, they look interchangeable (orientation-wise). Gotta be an orientation thing, right? ===== This guy had the same confusion when he apparently replaced the indicated bad sensor only to find out the problem was on the other side! Unbelievable! OH WAIT!! That's right ..... I still need to do the "Visual Inspection" to make sure it isn't that darn RING on the hub that's broken! Just saw a couple of videos on that reminding me!
