Mar 11, 2007 323 207 USA Pennsylvania Looking for some input from the group about these two different model trucks from carver. I'm looking to put them on a 32'' gravity bertleman deck. Just looking to get some turns in when I can't get wet. Thanks in advance for your thoughts/recs/input.ted

You can pump the board from a dead stop then work up momentum to lay down a big turn or slide the tail around.

Apr 14, 2011 389 408 SD Both trucks are great. I think the C7 is a little more responsive and "surfy," while the CX is a bit more stable. But both are light years from standard trucks and respond like a surfboard. I prefer Carvers with long decks (40"+) and like the C7 for parks / bowls, the CX for cruising on the street. But YMMV.Wade In The Waves

Mar 23, 2012 2,050 450 Nowhere I own two boards, both with a similar deck. Mine are both the 32" Fraktal deck, just different artwork for each. One with C7 and one with CX Trucks. I like both, but as stated above, the C7 is way looser and the CX is more snug. I find I can get a better drive and distance out of fewer pumps out with the CX trucks without working as hard as with the C7. With the C7 you are constantly pumping. If I am not mistaken, I remember hearing somewhere that the CX is set up to drive, but add stability to be used to skate pools and things of that nature as well. Hopefully that all makes sense and isn't just a ramble. If I was still out West, I would just tell you to come grab them both, and go play with them. I keep them in my truck with me at all times. The CX is a ride and play, the C7 takes a little getting used to. Love them! Good luck and have fun! Ssubgmt

Apr 10, 2007 24 1 I put the C7s on my Fibreflex and it was awesome. Skated over an hour without pushing off. Ultimate glide.pintail

Feb 19, 2004 988 614 LA, California I would also take a look at Original trucks. They're a different design, feel like surfing under my feet, and are very very carvy and easy to pump. I also have a set of Carvers on a slightly shorter board, not as loose or as much fun IMO. Here's a review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k5C2iIiQa0pintail

Feb 19, 2004 988 614 LA, California I'd recommend also checking this out, if you want to really simulate riding a shortboard. The front truck actually pivots over 180 degrees and is pretty amazing. I'm probably going to buy one of their completes. I tried out a buddy's and it was really amazing feeling, will take some time to get comfortable with. http://surfskate.com/joeblackuz

Apr 15, 2005 341 74 I had Mark over at Soul Performance in Redondo swap out some trucks for c7 carvers a couple weeks ago. Funnest skate board ever. I can even pump it and go up a slight incline. Not to mention how responsive it is. If you are on the fence just pick on up! Also i noticed some shops have a demo so you can try it out before you buy. If you are around LA or el segundo Surflax, or anyone else, come give it a whirl.Killafornia

Here's a review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k5C2iIiQa0 Click to expand...I used to ride for them when they 1st hit the market. I still have one of the og boards. They are fun, but not smooth. I didn't like that they wanted to center themselves so strongly, even with the springs as loose as possible. They are really good for downhill sliding, but can pick up speed wobble easily. My go to truck for the last 10+ years has been the exkate trucks. They are bushing. I run the red or black bushings. Closest to surfing I have found. I have never ridden with the carver trucks.
