Can A NH TV6070 Run A Disc Header? - The Combine Forum

regency R We are looking at a Bi-directional NH TV6070 and would like to know if they can handle a 15 foot rotory hay header. If the head is powered hydraulically you will need about 170-200 for a 15ft head. #5 · Nov 24, 2011 WE run 2 13' Discbines with our TV 145. Cab end (pushed) is Hydraulic drive off of aux Hyd pump and the pulled is PTO off of engine end. If I did it again I would go with a PTO Hyd pump on pushed or PTO both ends. The low point is that the tractors Hyd cooling system can't keep up with as much flow as we are using. It works good for cutting hay up to 6.5-7 MPH in avg hay , push it much faster and the oil temp alarm will come on. Power wise you can run faster but the oil will get hot rather quickly. We also use a TV145 with a 25' Swatherhead in grain or sorghum and it works just fine , but the swather head is PTO drive on the sickle and hyd aprons only. Insert Quotes Post Reply
