CAN BUS DECODER For Tiguan 2017

Daniel H. Hello, I bought a new head unit (Seicane 10.1 Android) to replace the factory radio of my Tiguan 2017. The Can Bus I received must have been for an older VW model as it states G-VW-RZ-58 (manufacturing date 2011). I therefore bought a replacement VW-RZ-58 (manufacturing date 2021), but the head unit still does not power on. Can anyone list the correct CAN BUS DRIVER that will fit the decode the Tiguan 2017? FYI: I managed to power the head unit by hot-wireing the ACC cable with the harness, but without a Can Bus Decoder I would loose all stearing wheel controls. There are so many to list just search Amazon for one for your year. Just Remember with it bypassed you will be causing numerous errors in the Can/Lin modules. AliExpress as well is another good source of you wasn't to retain all steering controls. Be warned Seicane Decks are also notorious for being faulty out of the box and not like to play nice with certain systems. I've installed a few in friends cars and they in my opinion are not worth what they sell for. 2 of them caused issues integrating into the cars system other just didn't want to work with tht proper harness like yours is doing. Find the proper integration kit soon before damage to the sensitive electronics happen. #3 · Jul 24, 2021 Hello Iggy, Thank you very much for getting back to me, no car installation company was able to help me here in England. I ordered a new Can Bus for the harness and had the same problem, the radio did not turn on. I had a search for MQB Can Bus for the Tiguan 2019 but did not find any items that fit the Tiguan 2019. I would have been able to install a genuine radio myself, the problem is that I can't seem to get a can bus for the Tiguan 2017 model, the head unit is installed, I currently hotwired the ACC wire so the unit turns on. With the can bus 'bridged' (due to the hotwire) the steering wheel controls are not supported. I was hoping someone here would be able to help to link a can bus that fits and supports all car controls. Being how sensitive the electronics are it has to have perfect resistances and able to correctly communicate with the Car/Lin network, or errors and lockouts happen. You will need to spend $75-100+ to achieve this. A cheap Chinese harness won't do it 90% of the time. Why many chose to stay with genuine units. The one marked 21 should work, it's most likely defective. You have seen first hand by visiting a high end shop they turned you away how they feel of these units. Being I'm stateside I cannot see what you have, as viewing Amazon and AliExpress is different. How about supplying links to what you have and upload pictures to better assist you, so we don't keep playing guessing games. You also didn't say how much knowledge you have electrically, so I could say trace all the wires out to be sure the plugs you got are even pinned correctly. All it takes is one wire or one bad crimp. Let us know exactly what you have via links and I can try and do a bit of research amid my busy schedule. I am one of the remaining electrical knowledgeable people left on here since the switch, and have a business to run as well. #14 · Nov 9, 2022 Just read this thread.
