P-son P Hi ! Swedish dude here, so sorry for my bad English :angel Just bought the High 115 Vito 2009 for conversion to Bike-Racing vehicle. Bought the car from a repair-shop that buys used traded-in mercs from a big merc-dealer in south Sweden. Immediately got into trouble in a few days. Started with drilling the floor in the back for tie-downs and front wheel stand bolted to the floor. I was REALY close to hitting the rear-loom that sits in the middle of the floor Car worked after that and in my head everything worked fine for a ride or two after that. Then I started the installation of extra highbeams in the front. And when I wanted to switch the stock hightbeam on to see witch cable to trigger the relays with the headlight doesn't work... after some checkup I found out that the folowing doesn´t work: High beam Horn Wipers Windscreen flusch foglight rear central locking. turn-signals Error-lights fuel-gauge handbrake light is constant on brake-warning is constant on I think thats it :devil no, wait, the battery gets drained aswell, something is drawing to much amps when engine is turned of and ignition is of also.... Had it in for a scan and came back with 3 sheets of trouble.... Among many, the SAM-unit is´nt comunicating, and then everything falls appart as i understand it.... searched the net about can-bus errors and fount some guides and so. I work in the security-business so im not affraid of tracing wires and using multi-meters/volt-meters and so. As the shop where i bought it says I broke it myself installing my "shit" I will havto try as much as I can myself. Got hold of some diagrams and stuff, and a first easy can-bus fault-seek is to measure in the OBD-outlet. Pin 6 & 14 should de CAN-Bus High / Low. I had no reading on the volt-meter when measuring between can and ground when the battery was connected, not good... then I disconnected the battery I then can measure the can-bus loop for errors, as the can-bus has start and end resistors of 120 ohms it should measure ~60 ohms when OK. I have "OL" / "Open Ciruit" My thought about "its only to get a new SAM" is now out the window. So I now need to get longer into the wiring, anyone know any other places where I can easily get to the CAN-loom in some device ? #1 · May 1, 2015 Hi ! If there is, disconnect the battery, leave for 5 minutes and clean all the connections. Once clean and dry, reconnect the battery at see if it has helped at all. It is probably nothing to do with your problem but it wont hurt! #4 · Jun 1, 2015 The batter has been of for days...... ordered a used SAM-Unit and switched. now it works. Also had a fult code on the outside temperature senor, so ordered a new one. when that is fitted I should have no more fault codes, just a war to start with the shop that sold me tha car and then wouldt help me... #5 · Jan 21, 2021 Tjena P-Son, hvilket SAM modul köpte du ? for jag har samme problemer med min 116 :) Tackar 0 Reply Insert Quotes Post Reply
