Yes, the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 features a 50 Sheet DADF which is capable of scanning two-sided documents automatically.

The Canon MAXIFY GX7050 must be connected to the same wireless network as you iPad or iPhone in order to print from your mobile devices.

Q. Can the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 do borderless printing? A.

Unfortunately the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 is not capable of borderless printing. However, there are similar ink tank models in the Epson range, such as the Epson EcoTank ET-3850, which is capable of borderless printing on a variety of plain papers and photo papers.

Q. Can you put 3 different type of paper into the 2 Front 1 Rear input trays and then have the option from your computer for printing any of the 3 Input trays? Or the 2 Front input trays count as 1 and you can choose only either front or rear input in the printing dialogue? . Thx. A.

The Canon MAXIFY GX7050 features two 250-sheet input trays and a 100-sheet rear feed. All three trays can be filled with different media types or sizes as required and as long as the trays are setup correctly, you can select which tray you wish to print from using the driver settings.

Q. Does this printer print directly from a Chromebook? A.

Yes, the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 supports printing from Chromebooks. All instructions are available on the following page: How to Print from a Chromebook.

Q. Hi Can I add an extra paper tray to the Canon Maxify GX7050. I would need to handle 3 different types of paper. A.

Unfortunately there are no additional paper feeders available for the Canon MAXIFY GX7050. However, the machine as standard comes with 2 x 250 sheet input trays as well as a 100 sheet rear input tray.

Q. Can either the Canon Maxify 6050 or 7050 print photos? A. Yes, both the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 and GX6050 are suitable for photo printing. They can handle a variety of photo media types such as glossy, semi-gloss and matte. It has two paper trays and prints copies and scans at great quality and fast rate. It also has a fax facility. Came with four full-sized bottles of business quality ink black 6000 pages and colour 14 000 pages . This amount of ink plus it being an ink tank with economic printing option made it a great buy especially as it had a 20 discount on RRP It has a USB input for direct printing while the Canon app allows you to easily print direct from your mobile. Canon Tech support is AMAZING and there is a 3 year warranty with replacement while repair so you aren't left without a printer . Buy with MY-0G01 Maintenance Cartridge as not always in stock . Nothing not to like. Highly recommended Canon MAXIFY GX7050 Atul Madahar Tuesday, 15 March 2022 Well built and has the full features that I need. Just tap 'print' and select your AirPrint compatible printer, and print!....It's that simple.

What You See is What You PrintIf you can open it on your apple device, chances are you can print it with AirPrint and an AirPrint compatible printer. Airprint works with Safari, Mail, Photos, iWork, PDF's in iBooks and many third-party AirPrint compatible apps available from the app store.

Third-Party Apps

There are also a wide variety of third-party apps available to enable wireless printing through Apple devices, even to machines that are not natively AirPrint compatible printers. By sharing a printer installed on an Apple Mac or Windows Pc over a wireless network any printer may be able to take advantage of the AirPrint features. (An additional third-party app may be required to be installed on the local machine)

What is Mopria?

Mopria is a simple solution created to enable seamless printing from Android devices to any Mopria-certified printer. It gives users the ability to connect to any compatible printer nearby and eliminates the need for additional drivers or software.

Most Android devices now come with Mopria Print Service preinstalled, but if it doesn’t you can download the Mopria Print Service App from Google Play or from the Mopria website. The app allows users to customise print settings from changing the colour or orientation of a document to selecting double-sided printing or choosing the right paper size and media type. If an app on your mobile device has a print option, you can use Mopria to print documents, PDF’s, emails, web pages, photos or other content you may need.

2. Select a nearby printer.

3. Tap print.

Voice Activated Printing with Amazon Alexa

Once you’ve enabled the 'Printer Skill' from your Amazon Alexa app printing becomes just as easy as talking. You can print various pre-formatted documents such as shopping lists, calendars, puzzles or even colouring pages - and all you need to do is ask!

How to Print

Firstly, you’d need to obtain your printers email address to link it to Alexa. This can be located via your printers control panel, or by printing off a Web Services information sheet.

Now you can enable the Print Skill from your smartphone or tablet using the Alexa App, or you can enable this skill via the Amazon website if you’re using a computer.

Then all you need to do is enter the email address for you printer, tap finish and start printing.

You can now ask your Echo or other Alexa device to print straight to your printer:

“Alexa, ask my Printer to…” and then follow with the content you wish to print. It’s as simple as that.

Your Alexa device must be set up and connected to your local network, and your printer must also be connected to the same local network. This can be by an Ethernet cable or a wireless connection. Please note: The Printer Skill will not work with USB connected printers.

Your printer must also support mobile printing and Web Services as this cloud-based service is what allows you to print with an Amazon Alexa device.
