Prior to joining CVIA as a Personal Branding Specialist, I enjoyed over 20 years working in senior Operations and Project Management positions globally, for one of the world’s largest multinational companies in the Financial Services industry.

During my career, I have developed strategic leadership expertise in all areas of operations, change management and employee engagement, together with proficiency in managing complex processes, sizeable teams and significant budgets.

In my previous roles, I have led organisational improvements, business transformation initiatives and Six Sigma projects to increase income, productivity and customer experience; contributed to the attainment of key business targets; and effectively assembled and led high-performing teams.

More recently, I established a freelance career coaching business, with over 7 years of experience helping clients from companies including GE, Astra Zeneca, Deloitte, KPMG, Google and TalkTalk, achieve their career goals through bespoke CV development, career coaching and interview practice.

My deep, hands-on commercial experience of recruiting / interviewing for senior roles and coaching talents, combine to give me the attributes needed to create outstanding personal branding collateral, ensuring skills and knowledge are captured and presented in the most compelling way possible.

I have worked within the education sector in various roles for over 10 years, both in a teaching capacity and as a marketing expert. I've also worked as a Digital Marketer in several different sectors, including Higher Education, Private Security, and Mental Health and Wellbeing. During this time, I have developed many end-to-end campaigns, from propositions, budget approval, and content creation to delivery and results reporting. Prior to joining CVIA I had over 15 years' worth of Careers industry and Recruitment experience. I worked for an Education charity for 10 years, managing a team of Careers Advisors delivering the UK Government adult careers service. Within this role I established the executive provision of the service to meet local demand, developing training materials and personally coaching clients to achieve outcomes. I worked with local and national organisations to develop bespoke outplacement packages for those affected by redundancy or restructure across all industry sectors. My recruitment experience involved working for a national recruiter as well as a small, family business, providing temporary staff across a range of industries.

In a side-line career path, I also established my own Events Management company 10 years ago which I have developed to become an award-winning, media-featured organisation, built on a reputation for providing a quality and trusted service.

I am qualified up to Level 6 Information, Advice and Guidance as well as Level 5 CIPD Leadership and Management. My multiple career paths, operational and strategic experience, and education mean I am perfectly placed to support clients across a variety of sectors in unique situations. I have developed an expertise in supporting clients within the Finance sector as well as a flair for writing corporate branding material. I have a passion for developing best-in-class personal branding collateral to support others to achieve their goals.

Alistair is a former business owner and senior recruiter who has spent the last 10 years helping professionals and executives to move forwards in their career.

Alistair's role within CVIA is Lead Presenter and chief CV, resume and LinkedIn profile appraiser - he has critiqued many thousands of CVs, resumes and LinkedIn profiles for individuals across all sectors.

His experience includes: several years in the corporate world, primarily in a variety of sales and operations roles; several years working within the executive search industry, both permanent and interim sectors; and several years working for CVIA as a Coach and Presenter.
