Cátedra GxC is the “Lázaro Quintana Tápanes” Chair of Knowledge Management at the Camilo Cienfuegos University of Matanzas (UMCC) in Cuba. It has been promoted since 2012 by the Industrial Engineering Department of the Faculty of Economic and Computer Sciences (FCEI).

The GxC Chair develops its work in Industrial Engineering to promote the efficient management of scientific and technological information for:

Information repositories to support research and teaching of Business Sciences.Scientific information dissemination.Replace existing limitations regarding the use of the Internet in the country.Provide search services on specific research topics.Support doctoral training at Permanent National Court of Industrial Engineering and master’s programs developed at FCEI.

Furthermore, the University of Matanzas promotes the generation and implementation of a scientific observatory.
