It has been standing unused in a warm garage since 1988 and has been started and ran for a couple of minutes once a month since then. Last spring there were new tires fit on it, but it was never used after that either. I also think it looks really good as it is. #4 · Nov 24, 2014 Welcome to the group. What good fortune to find a 30+ year old bike in such immaculate condition!:D #5 · Nov 24, 2014 Welcome to the forum. Great to see another 400 series here. That IS in amazing condition. Great find. Looks like the brother/sister to our cb450sc's over on this shore. #6 · Nov 24, 2014 Wow that is in great shape. Have fun #7 · Nov 24, 2014 Strange how we who aspire to own a pristine original stock bike end up with a bitsa or neglected rusty example that needs this and that and the other thing, and those whose interests are cafe or bobber seem to find the pristine ones like this one. #8 · Nov 24, 2014 (Edited) I totally understand what you mean Sir. Actually I haven't really really made up my mind yet which bike to turn into a Café racer, the CB400N or the CBX550F: Land vehicle Vehicle Motorcycle Motor vehicle Car I'm thinking that if I choose to have a go on the 400, I will make it easily reversable: - No modifications to the frame - Single café style seat with hump (or whatever its called...) - Clubman (TT) handle - LED turn signals - LED rear- and brake lights - Custom plate holder We'll see what happens - the winter is looong in Sweden, at least 10 months, or at least it feels like that now. :-/ At least I'm certain that I won't do it to the third bike in the garage. Talkin' about finding the pristine original ones, I was standing outside the supermarket the other day and a guy in his mid 60's walks up to me and says that he has an -81 CB400 N and that it is for sale due to health issues. I went home to him yesterday and had a look at it.
