/Peter West Coast Café Racers #1 · Nov 24, 2014 Hi guys! Peter from the Swedish West Coast here. I just bought a rare gem - a 1983 Honda CB 400 N with just 7777 kilometers (4832 miles) on it. It has been standing unused in a warm garage since 1988 and has been started and ran for a couple of minutes once a month since then. Last spring there were new tires fit on it, but it was never used after that either.

I'm thinking that if I choose to have a go on the 400, I will make it easily reversable: - No modifications to the frame - Single café style seat with hump (or whatever its called...) - Clubman (TT) handle - LED turn signals - LED rear- and brake lights - Custom plate holder We'll see what happens - the winter is looong in Sweden, at least 10 months, or at least it feels like that now. :-/ At least I'm certain that I won't do it to the third bike in the garage. Brothers and sisters of the west - let me present to you... Barbie!
Rock on! /Peter ~ Life's to short to be bored ~ 0 Reply #9 · Nov 24, 2014 Holy crap, I didn't expect that turn of events ; ) "Barbie". The 4cyl 500 looks bad arse as it is....maybe cafe the back out with a cowl...wow, what fun projects!! #10 · May 31, 2015 (Edited) Hi guys! Just a little update since the last time: Barbie still rocks the roads.
The CBX 550 has become a nice everyday commuterbike and is always ready for the next adventure.
The CB400 is a great "go get an ice-cream"-bike and is still in original shape, and I just love it. Talkin' about finding the pristine original ones, I was standing outside the supermarket the other day and a guy in his mid 60's walks up to me and says that he has an -81 CB400 N and that it is for sale due to health issues. I went home to him yesterday and had a look at it.
8558 km's and in a splendid condition! I am just waiting for him to give me a call about the price. Have a nice day guys and drive safely. /Peter Insert Quotes Post Reply - ?
