tucktuck8 hey guys im looking at a 2002 cb919 and I want to know if there are any major differences between the year models 2002-2007. If so are they worth waiting to find a newer model or just go with the 2002? thanks #1 · Apr 17, 2013 hey guys im looking at a 2002 cb919 and I want to know if there are any major differences between the year models 2002-2007. The 04 suspension is definitely better but its still meh (i have an 04). especially if you weigh much more than 170lbs... I weigh 160-170 lbs and redid the front end with some new oil and while i did so added 25mm of extra oil height to increase my overall spring rate.... even then the stock springs are soft. Only other things that arnt cosmetic (ie paint colors and engine accent color pieces) are the addition of a clock in the dash of the 04+ models. #3 · Apr 17, 2013 (Edited) Color changes, different forks, rear shock, clock added in '04, two more hooks under the seat added at one point. Other then that, different color calipers, engine. Basically the same year to year. Between you and I, '02 is the fastest. :D #4 · Apr 17, 2013 The later models '04 have a few small changes, but the big difference is the suspension. - adjustable front and rear suspension. - digital clock built into the cluster - catalytic converter in the exhaust system - cali bikes have additional emisions junk also They also came in the slower colors. With '02 being the fastest!:lurker-eating-popco #5 · Apr 17, 2013 Wait, I thought '03 was the fastest? #6 · Apr 17, 2013 Nope. In fact it was the slowest. All years of 919 are FI. 1 Reply #22 · Apr 20, 2013 Well damn! My bad! I had thought for some reason that my friends 02' was carb'd.....I remember him saying that it changed in 03' guess he was wrong. #23 · Apr 20, 2013 No changes were made from 02-03. It was in 04 they made a bunch. 0 Reply Insert Quotes Post Reply
