CBC (Complete Blood Count)

The complete blood count measures the:

  • Hematocrit (HCT)
  • Hemoglobin (Hgb; Hb)
  • WBC (white blood cell count)
  • WBC differential
  • RBC (red blood cell count)
  • RBC indices :
    • MCV (mean corpuscular volume)
    • MCH (mean corpuscular hemoglobin)
    • MCHC (mean corpuscular hemoblogin concentration)
  • Stained red cell examination (peripheral smear)
  • Platelet count
