The overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke permeated every corner, from the lobby and elevator to, I suspect, every room. A damp, musty odor further compounded the unpleasant atmosphere. Upon entering my room, I was dismayed to find it unclean, with visible cigarette butts. When I requested a re-clean, the staff simply offered slippers instead. The physical condition of the accommodations was also concerning, with visible disrepair to the walls. Adding to the poor experience, despite arriving at the check-in time of 2:30 PM, I was made to wait until 3:00 PM for my unprepared room, with no apology offered. Yet, I was promptly reminded of the 12:00 PM checkout time. Simple requests for a floor mat and an extra blanket were met with difficulty and a lack of knowledge from the receptionist. Furthermore, the promised in-room WiFi was unavailable throughout my two-night stay. I was even compelled to purchase my own air freshener to make the room bearable.
