Celebrating Arbor Day Weekend with Boston's Urban Wilds Program

The Urban Wilds program engaged residents in planting and watering new trees over Arbor Day weekend.

We had a busy Arbor Day weekend! At Condor Street Urban Wild in East Boston, the Parks Department's Urban Wilds Program partnered with local community groups like Neighborhood of Affordable Housing Community Development Corporation, Inc., Chelsea GreenRoots, and NUBE East Boston, to engage residents in planting and watering new trees. These new trees will provide crucial shade during hot weather while also providing wildlife with food and shelter. This project was funded in part by a One Tree Planted grant.
