The Heritage Series G12H (55) IR is a faithful tonal replica of the original Celestion G12H favoured by Jimi Hendrix in the 1960s.

Featuring a bass cone with a lower, 55Hz (55 c/s) resonance, its deeper low end, balanced midrange and clear, controlled highs were well suited to the more heavily overdriven rock tones emerging at the end of that decade.

It’s a distinctive rock tone that has inspired hard rock guitarists ever since, ranging from Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Joe Perry of Aerosmith and Ricky Medlocke of Blackfoot/Lynyrd Skynyrd.
